PM me info on the 68 please. Have a couple friends looking for something in that era.Not likely Cap! It would feel empty if I ever get the 68’ sold.

Hey Cap, the patina certainly fits right in. The wheels are the best part of the whole bench. All 4 roll smoothly and pivot nicely. Even if I tossed all of the wood the wheels were worth stopping for.It came with that classic patina look too!
Do all 4 wheels move freely?

What weight rating on these? Been wanting them but worried about ordering for my highboy due to weight.I ordered a of dollies and the caddy from Vevor last weekend. While I’m not keen on their shipping process, I am pleased with the functionality of the dollies. They work as expected. I moved the 56’ from the lift bay to the middle bay in about 15 minutes with a low amount of exertion. These units are ratchet style vs hydraulic.

These Dollie’s are rated at 1500 lbs each. What weight rating on these? Been wanting them but worried about ordering for my highboy due to weight.

So the 56’ has a hole in the floor to allow access for filling the MC. I may relocate the hole later. Are you doing a remote fill, or cutting a hole in the floor to access the MC? My '51 Woodie came with a hole cut in the floor and an inspection cover to be able to access the MC for fluid maintenance.
Capt’n I’m trying to avoid this very scenario. I used a 6”x 6” x 3/16th angle iron w/ 3/16” gussets. The booster and MC setup weighs about 20 lbs. During the test fit and installation process, when operating the mechanism by hand, I could apply enough force to see the frame flex downward. So a frame stiffener/gusset will eventually be installed. After the original bracket that held my clutch slave cylinder failed (multiple times-poor design), I had a neighbor fabricate a much beefier bracket similar to yours . No issues Afterward.

Thank you sir.Love seeing the updates on the project truck!
Thanks Wombat. Just keep at it, you will get there.Nice looking shop. You've done a great job. I'll keep plugging away at mine, one day it will facilitate projects instead of being the project!

Cap,Michael B,
What your system for organizing all the small parts and fasteners after you do the teardown?
Did the security team even check the snow scene outside via the window or door while on duty? I know my cat still perches at her window spots to watch her TV (the great outdoors).

Jimmy the heater is a Val 6. I highly recommend it. It runs on diesel or kerosene, I’m using off road diesel (much cheaper). It will raise the shop temp 10* in about 30 mins. It has a thermostat that works very well. So far I have only use 10 gallons of fuel this winter. I keep the shop at 60-62 degrees. Any warmer and it’s uncomfortable to work in. It’s pretty powerful, so you need clear space in front of it.In the first picture of the run stand I see a radiant heater. My local NAPA sells them, how does it work? I’m trying to figure out my options for heat in my new shop, looking at everything from forced air, pellet stoves, ceiling radiant heat tubes and/or multiple mini-splits. Run stand looks very nice, who made it?
Thanks!
