@jbrentd as you can see my attached 2 car garage is getting rather full. That’s why I have one of my vehicles in offsite storage and three others sitting in the driveway. I have 16 light fixtures stored at a friend’s shop as well. The only other item I have coming is a 2 post lift which will be stored at the installers shop until I’m ready for it. Staging all of this is turning into a logistical task!

Even though the contractor isn’t working on building the shop I’m still working on filling it up. The new compressor arrived today.

I'm in the same situation. Still waiting on my building, but I have already picked up wall cabinets, Delta Unisaw, band saw, jointer, 12" disc grinder, 20" planer, 20 ton press, and more. My shed is full and attached garage is maxed out.
You got the compressor I'd like to have, but budget won't allow.

46' x 48' tubular steel building ( also a 60' x 45' apron in front of slab ). Put a deposit down in November. They don't put you in the schedule until you have a slab. I was told 4 to 6 weeks from slab day. Slab was poured June 5th. You do the math. Last conversation was "Earliest would be end of October." :eyecrazy:

Since we didn’t get to pour concrete again, I drilled my water line through the foundation and routed it into the crawl space. Now both ends are ready for attachment.
I also sold my old compressor to a friend and helped him load it up.

I’m just green with envy! The space you have…to die for! The surrounds look nice and damn…even the earth you dig up looks half decent! Mine was just clay!

John the soil content in north Alabama has a high concentration of clay so there was no need for compaction. I appreciate your looking out for me! We had a heavy rain last night and the picture below is from this morning. This is the high side of the slab. There is more slope here than the picture indicates. I’m actually concerned about having difficulty in mowing this slope when the grass finally catches up.

To make a long story short, the company I purchased my building from has a couple of contractors that build for them. My original builder doesn’t seem to have time to finish my shop. After meeting with another of their builders this evening at my job site, to ensure the trusses and bar joists will fit the building as framed, they said they will start tomorrow morning!

No work yesterday due to rain and high winds. Today the crew showed up and worked all day in the rain. They weren’t able to install the roof because of the slip hazard so they started sheeting the walls and framing the doors. It was late when they finished so the last picture is pretty dark. I will get a better picture tomorrow. These guys have worked past sundown every day.

Thanks John! For three days of labor, I think they have made good progress. I thought you would approve of the color choice 😉.
