Today I finally “finished” the insulation. It’s actually only 99% complete but everything left is low and has been left out for strategic purposes.
Strictly out of curiosity , if you are willing to share, how much did it cost to use batt insulation for such a large building ?
I recently insulated a 12x20 shed here in Fl and i swear it was around $200, but man did it make a difference for the zero turn, and golf cart to park in. 😁

I made pretty good progress this evening. This is about 2.5 hours of work. BTW these are 14’ sheets. They’re a real blast on top of the scaffolding 😳. The high end is still loose so I can tuck the next sheet in behind it.

Thanks John! It’s just a step by step process. I told my wife this morning, if all of the metal were cleaned and the shop floor was clear of all obstacles, that I could probably finish the ceiling this weekend. But, alas, it is not.

I feel your pain. I'm now at the point of moving EVERYTHING from the garage side to the shop side and back as I attack different stages. Thinking about hitting Harbor Freight for a couple of those cheap dollies ( and I'm not really a HF fan).

John almost everything in my shop is mobile. It either has wheels or is palletized so I can move it with the pallet jack. The only thing not mobile is the stacks of salvaged wood.

After spending the entire holiday weekend cleaning and straightening sheet metal, I finally had a couple of days to hang some. I think I’m about to get the hang of it 😉.

I can image it gets pretty hot up near the ceiling, especially while working.

What’s the outside temperature at and how offer do you take water breaks?

I’ve been staining three sheds trying to follow the shade this past week.
I limit the amount of stain in the working can and when’s it’s empty I drink water and move fluids.

Tonight I just finished the second coat on the last one. I’m tired now.

@captain14 it does get very hot and humid at the ceiling. Temps outside have varied from mid 70’s to low 90’s. About every trip down from the scaffolding I hit the Gatorade jug. Next week it is going into the mid 90’s so I’m going to try to accomplish as much as possible this weekend. I hope to finish the area over my first ceiling fan so I can install it this weekend. That will help a lot!

@captain14 the mimosa is about 13 years old. It will continue to grow in size. I will try to get a closeup of a bloom tomorrow. I have crepe myrtles in my front yard. They started blooming last week.

@captain14 I apologize for the delay in getting a picture of the mimosa bloom. It’s been a busy week. Sorry for the fuzzy focus, it was very breezy today.1DCC3F40-F1D2-4EE2-84D5-BD8F73E1E29B.jpeg
