First class all the way and the Moduline cabinets are a perfect compliment to the place.

Continued success,

Also got if the Moduline cabinets, they are all installed now but I only have a pic of the short wall.
I've been looking at those Modulines for years now. Really like the idea of aluminum cabinets to deter the corrosion in my humid climate. Yours are alumumin, correct? Keep us updated on how you like them and how they hold up.

The place is looking great!

LOL....I think that could be said about most wives, mine swears it was in the fine print on our marrage license.

The floor looks great!

Shaun

Thanks Shaun, Did you get started on your electrical yet?
Daughters basketball team dropped by unannounced, they had a 3 hour break between games and did not want to drive an hour back into town. They loved the place, but said I have to finish the Soda Shop before the next visit.

Thanks, One thing about my place comparred to yours; It will never have that personal did it myself feel to it. You have a great shop, you should be proud! I can only hope to get some of the detail even close.
The modulines are 100% aluminum, even the rivets, latches and hinges, the only steel is in the bearings and slids for the drawers. I am so far very inpressed with them, they really build them right, in fact as I found out while installing them. The hold my 220 lbs, without any issues at all.

Wow, that floor looks beautiful!!!!

Holy ****...that is AWESOME!!!

Thanks guys!

Incredible place. When appropriate, can you post photos of the whole place? It is so large I am having a hard time imagining placing the photos. But, congratulations!

THE FLOOR TILE DESIGN IS JUST NUTS! Your not planning on putting anything dirty or greasy in there are you? :eyecrazy:

The balcony should be able to accommodate a good size dance band and the 'ballroom' floor looks big enough for an intimate group of let's say 200 couples to waltz around that snazzy looking tile job. All that place needs is about a dozen crystal chandeliers and you are ready to 'swing and sway with Sammy Kaye'! LOL

I never knew anyone till now that made a good living busting other people's nuts!:lol2:

Judging from the last picture I am sure this is how the conversation went:

Wife: The kids need a place to shoot baskets.
Husband: No problem. I will put up a hoop an put 4 walls around it!

It's really not "that big" The total square footage of the finished area is 4000'
Cell phone camera makes things look goofy porportion wise. Thanks!

With my daughter being 14 and an 11 year old son I am sure their will be some dancing going on one of these days.:lol_hitti I just can't see them waltzing to Sammy....LOL

This build just keeps rollin along.

What an awesome garage!

Not quite, but I did throw the the basketball hoop in there as "this is a family place" justification. My wife thinks I am about as crazy as most of you guys for building this thing. I guess I am just Blessed to have a wife that tolerates my car passion, she is a great sport!

Sorry about the lack of updates. I got a new Nikon D7000 for Christmas so I hope to have some nice shots as soon as I figure out how to use it.:lol_hitti

The apartment is almost done, still need to trim out the windows, and finish the shower, mirrors still need to be ordered for the bathrooms.
I hope to have the soda shop about done in the next week or so, booths and tables are in, as is the Juke box, still waiting on the iceream freezer, fridge, stools and other stuff.
I am hoping to start cleaning up the parking side Monday. We need to seal the concrete so we can install the tire equip., and metal fabrication equip.

Then the drama continues on to the house, We will be living in the shop for a few months while the house gets remodeled. I am starting to get tired of the contstruction business. I know I am tired of paying for it.....LOL.

Here is to wishing everyone a safe and Blessed New Year!

I've really ejoyed watching this build as well...great job! On that Nikon...Just set it on Auto and go to town! I've got the D90 and don't know how to run much of it manually. In time I will, but for now it takes great pictures just on Auto!

Great job again! Ultimate is an understatement (if that's possible)!!

It has been a while since I posted up on any progress, with the holidays it has been slow. I have gotten a lot done on the Soda Shop, still lack the mirrors to be put up behind the black counter and the hanging lights above the booths but you can get an idea of what it will look like. The whole in the cabinets is for a dishwasher, should have it and everything else installed this week. I also bought the old fashoined glassware for the icecream down to the banna split boats.
There is also a Mens room beside the juke box, sorry ladies have to go upstairs.
It is a man place after all.
I know it needs a lot more decor kinda stuff, that will all take more time.
These photos are still on my crappy cell phone, I need to get a wide angle lense for the Nikon.:lol_hitti

Thanks Guys!
Since I did up the middle section so much I guess I have to do more than just sealed concrete on the parking/fabrication side. So we started cleaning it out today so we can finish the lighting and acid stain the floor. I also ordered some race deck to put down under the tire equipment and sheet metal brake. I still need to buy a press and some shelving but other than that most of the stuff is ready to go in.
I also think I will invest in a commercial floor scrubber. The kind they use in malls and grocery stores. I have mopped that big pretty floor about every week since they finished it......and I hate it. The ones I am looking at scrub wash and vac dry in one pass, figure I can knock it out in about 45 minute walking behind one of those bad boys.

The flooring indeed looks to be amazing and with the finishing of this sort it ought to be one that many will be craving for. It would be interesting to see how it looks on the whole when every detailing has been taken care off like the flooring.

Thanks, while I am sure I will be adding things for years it feels good to be close to finishing the major construction. Good Lord willing I will keep posting right along as we go.

Do yourself a favour and buy a rider. You do not want to walk behind a floor scrubber doing floors that size!
