Thanks Shaun! Still have a lot of work to do to get the rest finished. The parking / shop equipment side is still a blank canvas. Still contemplating the floor, may just break down and epoxy it.
I have'nt even got around to ordering tools......I need 20 hour days to be able to get work and play done. Kids are in basketball and city league volleyball, so weekends a a mad dash from work to games then back to work, week days mean practicetil 8:30pm. We live about 20 miles from El Paso, so a lot of driving to get it done. I am getting tired.

I sure hope so, a lot of how it is set up is for the kids. The best part is my daughter said she wants to start racing! Now that is something I will just have to make time for.

Party went off without a hitch! Had over 40 kids there and a few parents. I must say they were the most well behaved kids I have ever had the pleasure of entertaining. They even cleaned up after themselves during the course of the evening.:wtf:
The shop was a huge success and they all want to do it again ASAP.

mws444 - that place is simply ....... I'm at a loss for words! Wonderful job!

So if this is what your daughter gets for her 15th birthday, I can't image what is coming for her sweet sixteen party.

Now the real fun comes... finishing that shop!

Thanks Shopnut! Coming from you given the quality of your build means a lot.
She has already asked if she can have my 2010 Camaro....the same one that is putting down 702 horses to the rear wheels. I guess it can't hurt to ask.

She is a great kid, plays sports, and is either number one or two in her class every grade period. I have to say she must get it from her mother as I was a terror at her age.

On the real fun...I can't wait to get some quality wrench time in there. I just wish I had more time to enjoy finishing it up and working on my cars. The remodeling on the house starts this week so we are moving into the shop til its done. So I guess my extra time has to be split between the house and shop, all hour or two a day.

The kids cleaned up? Don't they know the "teenager" police could cite them for good behavior? So, I am not the only guy who builds the shop before the house gets remodeled? Hah!

Lol, they are great kids.
Be careful on your shop build as it will set the bar, by your wife will judge the house by.
Oh well, my Dad always told me a happy wife makes for a happy home.

Floor scrubbed came in, it is awesome. Even with our hard water no streaks! Beck its fun to drive too. I will try to remember to get some pics for you.

Ok guys, I finally got around to taking a couple of shots of the floor scrubber. It is made in the good "Ol USA by a company in NY, Mastercraft. It is the MRS Sauber model, yup like the racing team all though different folks.
I think it needs some cool racing graphics or flames on it. What do you guys think?

If it was mine, I would go a different way with the graphics....

and maybe add a revolving radar antenna on top to complete the look?

Is that too over the top?....:dunno:

Holy Zamboni Batman, does that thing have a cup holder and heated seat too? lol

As for a decal for that little time-saver, I was wondering if you had a company logo or maybe a stylized graphic of a blooming pecan tree; after all, they made all this possible. You should have a name for it stenciled onto its' sides; how's about ' Li'l Squirt ', or in keeping with the family business.... ' Pee-Can '.

LOL...I think it needs flames.

Someone asked for a pic of the house, here is what the kitchen looks like right now. We are raising the ceiling to 11', the bathrooms are also gutted. Like the shop this one is getting blown out of sight as well. We are going to add 1,350' of living space, redo the front entrance, replaster the pool, and remodel the pool house. The house will be right at 7850 sq. feet when done. It is an old house built in the 40's, by my Grand Father, he liked to party so the bulk of the living space, 3200' of it is a ball room, complete with a wooden dance floor on top of 4" of cork.
Parents re-did things in the 80's so we were left with a two bedroom, 2 & 1/2 bath house.:headscrat When finished each of the kids will now get their own bedroom and full bath, also adding a indoor laundry (old one was in an old detatched maids house), and a den. I know it sounds like a strange house, but it has been in the familiy for 80 years, I just can't see living anywhere else right now.

Sorry for the lack of updates guys. Had to do the working thing in order to pay for all of this fun stuff.
We have really been enjoying the Shop, having lived in it for the last two months. We threw a BBQ bash for the kids basketball teams and family, over 90 poeple came down and enjoyed it all for an evening.
House is coming along well, and blowing the budget all to heck and back.:yikes:
The Snapon guy and I have become the best of friends.:Help:
Fiinally got a chance to pull the Camaro out of the trailer and get her up on the lift.
Parts are ordered and I hope to have her among the living really soon. I have to get back into the top ten on the go fast list on the C5 soon.

MWS,

Your place looks fantastic! In looking at the picture of Camaro on the lift; my humble suggestion is, paint the lift black. The level of detail and coordination of nearly everything is remarkable, the lift IMHO looks like an afterthought.

Thanks everyone for your kind coments!

The lift actually matches up with the colors in the slate around the apartment pretty well. I wish I could get a pic of the whole thing so you could see what I mean. As a package it all looks pretty good this way, although black would look sweet!

Sorry for the lack of updates, as many can guess I have been really busy. Between work, and the house remodel any spare time is filled with the kids.
'Tis the season for our spring sand storms.
I am including a couple of pics from yesterdays 45 mph with gusts to 68 mph. First was about 3 pm second was taken a few hours later and show the sun nearly blacked out by I figure was half the sand in Mexico. Don't worry the next one will blow it right back.

Newbie to the sight, but getting many cool ideas for my LIL 2 car garage as this is the year to upgrade it. To say that your masterpiece of a garage/shop/living quarters is awesome is an understatement.
So good of you to share your progress with all here on the Garage journal forms. Just an outstanding project that you and your family are justly proud of.
