Hello All,
I am finally going to work on the garage... Tons of junk in there that has to be organized and/or moved out and putting in garage tiles should be enough incentive for me to actually do that!
Still working out a couple of things:
1) Under the vehicle spaces I plan on putting in Racedeck FreeFlow to get rid of standing water.
Should I put some sealant on the concrete first so less water is absorbed by my bare concrete? Or is it a non-issue?
Preventing stains is not much of a concern, just general dampness and the possibility of mold / mildew / smell.
I currently have ribbed rubber runners and they are terrible! Buckled up and now trap water rather than let it drain... They did prevent the spread of water to the sides, but I would not do that again.

2) I have an area to the side of the garage with some tools, storage, etc and was thinking of Racedeck Max since I have on multiple occasions dropped screws, nails etc. and fear they would easily "flow" through an open tile. Same goes for the cabinets along the house shared wall: too many small things to drop when getting things in/out of the cabinets and I want a better chance at spotting them when the fall. Maybe even Snap Carpet instead of Max as a good runner along that edge for a couple of feet out from the cabinets.
3) Also looking at using Snap Carpet around the stairs, or just go with Max there and a throw rug to help keep debris from getting inside. Any one have experience with using the Snap carpet just on small areas for entering the house?
