kinda, The picture is from the metal masters tour they used the box in Lansing for the day 4-5 months ago its been sitting since area manager wants it gone offered it to me for 10.5k because he needs it gone, I have been lowballing him for 2 months. Today he texted my driver and offered it for 500 over my lowball offer, I accepted but I needed a cover and mini fridge thrown in He agreed

So what exactly did you end up paying? It's a gorgeous box but that's going to be a nightmare to keep clean. I loved my ultra yellow roll cab until I found out I'd be wiping off a thousand greasy finger prints everyday.

Snap On Epiq is the tool box of the future.

Wish I could get one.

Ok this looks like a nice box. But to all those who say it is the box of the future (and similar comments) can you explain to someone not in the know (me) why this box is so special? Maybe it is just because I'm looking at the thread from my phone, but it just looks like a really big box with a nice flat surface and possibly a couple places to remotely plug in power. Will someone explain? I'm not dissing the purchase at all...I just want to know more about it.

Thanks.

I agree congrats. I don't know if I could justify that for home use only, but if money was no object...

That might be the only box purchased new from SO that was actually worth the cost. Well done, beautiful box!

how do you like that black "bed liner like" work surface? thinking of getting one for my box when I put the order in. I'm between that and a stainless top.

It has it's ups and downs looks nice. But sometimes when u need a flat work surface it can get aggervatting but nothing a rag underneath cannot fix. I am still debating on how to mount a wilton 6 1/2 vise on top but always stop because I don't want to drill thru the top

Congrats! Beautiful box!
Know what you mean by its not exactly what you wanted but the $$ made it stupid to pass up. Same thing with my week old KRL...I really wanted a 1022 in Extreme Green, ended up with a Black 722 :headscrat
Been a week now...growing on me, no regrets when I think about all the Benjamins I saved...not to mention the wifes complete blessing of me buying it.

I wanted red trim this one has black trim I can have it stripped and re anodized for 500.00

That's not bad.....I'd be lying if I didn't think of a similar fix...have all my trim powder coated Extreme Green...be a negative of the Green/Black Trim boxes...assuming my powder shop could match it. Otherwise JD Green....but for now, I'm just enjoying even having it.

Red Trim would look killer on that box...Simply stunning either way you go.
(mine is a home box as well...mouse pusher by day...AG equip wrencher/enthusiast by night)

A kid I work with has a 68" white epic and it is easier to keep clean than my black box. I been working on my driver about trading in my krl1022 bottom with the krl1201 chest for a box like you just bought but he's way too far off. He wants to give me about $6k and wants retail on the new box. Bad thing is I want to buy a hutch at the same time so he should have quite a bit of room to work with on the price.

Damn and I thought I got a deal. I got a red epiq 68" for $5088 out the door. I actually wish I had the power top and power tool drawer though, I have a tone of power tools and that drawer would be handy as hell.

Dude my only complaints are I wish the thin drawers where a half an inch taller and none of the damn drawers pull out the whole way unless you force them.

I got a red one but the white and yellow are wayb to awesome. The aqua ones look great too.

Beautiful box Warmpancakes. Is this an upgrade box or an addition?

It's not Crimson and White!!!!

JMHO, but that would look awesome. Maybe even a candy apple red and white.

Congratulations. I like the older boxes by Snap On but no one can deny the Epiq is ****!

:+1:
