Ya guys I know this is kind'a late to brag about but life got in the way during and after the build this year. So better late then never right?.
Last year for SEMA I put together a 2015 300 but the concentration was exterior and interior treatments but more specifically the air ride system I built for it.
Last year I posted more details about this part here: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=309020
Last year I was expected to get to the motor but there just wasn't any time to do so. Well this year I wasn't planning on doing anything for SEMA as I'm just burned out and my health has been giving me fits for a couple of months. But my son wanted to go in the worst way which meant......I had to do something or we weren't going.
So I committed to finally wrapping up the whole package. This included not only getting rid of the ugly, but installing a Mopar stage 3 kits including heads, headers and a few other horse power getters.
Here's the stock bonafied 5.7 ugly straight from the factory.
Add some heads with a few valve train goodies, Skatpack exhaust with high flows, a 6.1 intake, billet valve covers, all kinds of nicer hardware and staying with the tubing theme we got this.
Oh ya and ditched all the stock wiring cover and did something a bit nicer too.
And like all SEMA projects ended up running out of time so a couple things got made on the fly in minutes and not hours of machine work. Such would be these stupid covers on the front shocks. Normally these would have been wittled out of billet with a bit more flare but with only a couple hours to go before leaving I whipped these out of teflon and painted them satin black. They actually look half way decent.
And when it was all said and done here she is.
Oop's looks like I didn't upload any of the pic's from SEMA but I'll edit those in.
And a closing little side story. Over the last 11 years I've built several rides for various companies to showcase their products. Never have I ever gotten anything from it other than tired. What I've shown you here is very basic stuff and nothing special like in the past and to win an award for it actually cracks me up.
But here she is in all her glory. Mothers Polish modern muscle award..........for a 4 door sedan. Who'd have ever thunk?.
