The trigger on my mig gun goes on if I so much as look at it sideways! Very annoying, it's constantly starting when I don't want it to. Not a cheap welder, it's a 250 amp Lincoln with digital controls, can't remember the exact model, but can obviously get it if it matters. I think it's a Lincoln Magnum gun? Anybody ever run into this? If yes, how did you fix it?
TIA, Jim
So I did just that. First pic shows welder in question. Next is gun with 1 cover removed. Third pic shows contacts after tweaking them, a little better but still too sensitive for my liking. Arrow in fourth pic shows what seems to be some sort of stop for the contacts. Tried thinning it a little, didn't seem to help. So I cut the stop out with a wizzer wheel. Much better, can actually move the trigger a little to turn it on. Would have preferred a little more trigger travel, but this will do.
