Anybody able to purchase one recently? I called SO yesterday and the FLL80 will not be released for online purchase until March 11.

I bought the FLL80 a couple of weeks ago. My dealer also was offering the free TL72 with purchase, but, I got him to swap it out for a free FkF80... Worked out perfectly!

The fact that SO and others are making these super long ratchet handles proves to me that breaker bars are now obsolete.

I bent one Tll72 already. I knew it was going to happen and I have already had it warrantied. These ratchets do give more torque but they aren't a replacement for 3/8 drive or a breaker bar. In all fairness it really shouldn't have been warrantied. I didn't use a cheater but I gave it everything I had on a 3/8 bolt rusted holding a mudflap on in a tight area. Nice ratchet though and I have a new respect for it now. It can take a lot just not everything.

My dealer told me at the tool expo they had a torque gauge/ meter and the pulled to TLL72 to 100 ft.lbs. which is where they stopped. Which I would agree is more than I would want to apply to a 1/4" ratchet.

There were a bunch of them on the Snap On truck today. He was offering $40 off to trade in any ratchet. He said he would even give $40 off for a cheap no name 1/4 ratchet. Looks like he had a bunch of them to move.

I stopped a SO truck today and asked about the FLL80 and the dealer said that he had not received any as of yet.
I called SO today and the customer service rep said that there is still a "hold" on them for internet sales. She had no idea when the "hold" would be removed. What I dont understand is why SO would not saturate their franchisee's with this product, especially if there is a market for them.
I have been purchasing SO tools for many years and never had a problem like this.

I was thinking about buying the FLL80 on the truck last week, but the snap-on guy said that the flex head version is coming soon so I held off.

Broke my first socket with the FLL80 this weekend. 10mm semi deep Matco impact socket. Used it to hold the ball joint from spinning on my F150 while I loosened the rusty ball joint nut. Oops.

I haven't gotten mine yet, did they make the shaft bigger to compensate for the extra length? Similar to the tll72?

Knowing SO it will be another floppy open flex...

I love SO Dual 80's but the flexes just ****. :shocking:

Same here. I like my Armstrong locking flex much better than my FLF80 and dislike the locking design on the FX80.

I emailed SO Corporate again about FLL80 availability and here is the response that I received:

"I share your enthusiasm about this great new product. The Snap-on factory in Elizabethton Tn that produces all Snap-on ratchets is working around the clock to fill demand for this new product. We typically announce new products to our franchisees prior to launching to the general public, which is how this item was launched. Once those franchisee orders are filled we will be opening for web orders, I am anticipating that to be sometime late March or early April."

That had nothing to do with the ratchet. I have that set of Matco semi deep metric 3/8 drive and I have cracked almost half of them and many more than once. Idk but they are junk. The sockets split the fist sight of a stuck fastener.

Hopefully ill have mine tomorrow, I was just curious because they made the handle thicker on the tll72 versus the tl72.

Guess I need to look closer. TLL72 looked like it had the same handle diameters as the rest of the line to me.

Just got my Fll80 a few days ago, plus picked up the bogo 1/4" wobble plus extension set and get the TLL72 free. Im either gonna sell the wobble set or the standard 1/4" extension set I picked up recently.
Kinda bummed to hear there's gonna be a flex head FLL80 as I'd rather have that.
