Floor color ? Tan or silver/gray

This is my house color.

Should I do tan or silver/gray epoxy?
I already have a rustoleum professional silver/gray kit that I bought and never opened a few years ago which I can use.

Gray floor, beige walls, wood cabinets, red toolboxes.

Too many decisions.

You may want to check the shelf life of the kit you previously bought, it may be expired by now FYI.

Color choice it ultimately up to you, I am a fan of gray floors and white floors.

to give you a perspective.. this is what tan color will look like...

i just did my over the weekend.. and just put down the clear coat last evening...after letting the base epoxy cure for 24hrs..

Yes true on that it might be bad. Thats another reason I'm toying with different color options.

So I got 2 rustoleum tan solvent based kits so I can do 2 coats. Just debating wether I will need to clear over it or not.

suggest you to spend the extra $$ on the clear coat.. i did it .. and i think its well worth the money... suggest you do 2 coat of epoxy... i had to do 2 .. as some area of the concrete was more porous and the color turn out lighter on the 1st coat.. 2nd coat helped it

I'm definitely doing 2 coats. The garage is 60 years old and I had to cut and repour a 10" section by the garage door because it was cracked. Did that 5 years ago and it's been solid. I'm sure one coat would end up being uneven and blotchy.

Do I add anti skid to just the clear or both clear and base? I don't want an ice rink in there.

it's really a personal preference, but i'd say silver for me... ( which is about 10 to 1 the color choice with RD customers )

You can do either actually.

After last base coat is rolled out, broadcast anti-skid randomly on floor while still wet. Then, mix anti-skid into clear and roll out for a more uniform skid resistant area.

Just mix anti-skid into clear and roll.

Some industrial manufacturing floors will go like this:

Primer (broadcast silica sand randomly)
Intermediate (broadcast silica sand to refusal)
Finish coat (if epoxy, no silica sand. If polyurethane, mix 2-4 oz/per gallon of silica sand and roll on)

Those are usually in places where they wash down the floors daily or where the floor is wet constantly.

My old house in CT was the same color as yours. I went with grey (no flecks) strictly for utility of seeing things and cleaning up.
