A Spanish floor jack. Interesting. I assumed OTC jacks were made in Taiwan or China, so their high prices always puzzled me.
Thanks to everyone for the advice.
ive had my Nesco Hydraulics 2 1/2 ton jack for close to 20 years.
very heavy jack, with the exception of having the rear wheels lock up solid after it was sitting in a wet unheated garage for a couple years, ive had no problems. bought it brand new, from snapon.....

These may be a little different that the Above listed, Im gonna do a little research to find out who is the Main Manufacturer of both. Well i see lots of similarities between the Frame on the Otc along with the Torin. Either way i cant put my finger on the Main manufacturer for that Griotts jack.
I like that Griot's jack, and I like it even better in blue. What do you think about that jack?
I've been beating the **** out of a 3 ton that I got at Harbor Freight with no problems...
I bought a milwaukee hydraulics Model 20 direct from them, they were giving a 10% discount. Call up and ask, they were extremely nice and a pleasure to deal with. What a company should be IMO. I have only had the jack for 2-3 months but it is a badass unit!
I think caroline told me the discount ran out this week. Do you mind me asking what the jack cost including shipping? She priced the jack to me and i wrote it down but somehow misplaced the paper. I was thinking around $400-$450 for the 2 ton + shipping.
Anything but Craftsman. It was the first jack I bought and cost me $100 in 1989. That was a lot of money for me to spend on a jack back then. After three years of moderate use, ti started leaking. It still works, but only if I keep feeding it with hydraulic oil. It's kind of like that flower on Little House of Horrors; "Feed me!!!."
So, after six years of this, I finally broke down, drove to my local NAPA store and bought a brand new 2 ton NAPA/Lincoln/Snap-on/Hein Werner and I haven't looked back. I still keep the Crapsman in case I have a project needing two jacks, but as soon as I can sort out whats a good, long lasting back up jack at a reasonable price, that Cman POS is gone.
As a side note, I've been given a non-working Cman jack that was made in Japan. I'm guessing it's late 70's to mid eighties vintage. I personally spoke to the owner at the Hijacks web page and he told me it may be a Yasui jack and might be worth a rebuild if I tackled the job myself. Between him and Hiball, I'm motivated. We'll see how I do.
It is a Yasui, Like most of the newer overseas designs. Only difference being the seals that are used nowadays are nowhere near the quality that they used to be. I actually know a guy who sells the complete rebuild kit for those old sears jacks. Normally they have a model number that starts with 328.????.
