Now that I have a detached garage, I have been looking at the attached garage on my house with an eye towards increasing living space. The floor is about 24 inches below the house floor level, its a DIY pour, but decently smooth. Walls are insulated, so forth. What I was thinking was to have radiant heat piping laid on top of the existing concrete then have 3 more inches poured on top. Is there any problem with this? Its only a 20 x 24 so it shouldn't need a very big water heater, I think. Never messed with radiant heat, so any opinions are welcome. Thanks
