Well looks like it's wait & see, once I get them here & installed. I have never had any bad luck with ebay purchases in the past. If I ever got something on ebay, and there was an issue, the seller makes it right, to keep their feedback rating up. Platonic Solid is correct, tons of Alibaba hits on the CREE LEDs. I have over 130 recessed cans in my house all running 75 watt halogen par30 bulbs. about a year and a half ago, Home depot had a 3 pack of ecosmart par30 65 watt equivelent /10 watt LED bulbs for $11.88 a box. either they were discontinued or something, but that was the final markdown price. So at a little under $4.00 a bulb I bought several cases & swapped out every bulb in my house. They have been in for over a year and a half now. I recently started noticing some flickering in my kids bedrooms when they are dimmed to a certain level. I changed out the dimmers to LED compatible electronic dimmers. That helped somewhat, but a little flickering is still noticeable. These bulbs came from a Home depot, and are a brand name. The only true test will be that of time. I'm sure everything will look good the day It's installed, but after a year, I plan on installing a new bulb & comparing the brightness.

I got my LED's yesterday, I have 30 of the 42 installed & they look great. No comparison to the old fluorescent bulbs, far whiter & brighter. Also no more annoying Hum from those old magnetic ballasts. I took some pictures, but they don't do justice to the increase in brightness. I guess it will be wait & see, for any failures, flickering, or dimming over time.

5 year update; All of my bulbs are working as they did the day I bought them. No warm-up, no ballast hum, just full blinding brightness the moment i flip the switch. It's nice to come into the garage in the dead of winter and get full lighting output when you turn them on. To me the brightness seems to be the same as when I installed them in 2017, but I'm sure they may have diminished a few lumens, but I could never tell. Everyone that comes into my garage comments on how bright it is.
