I totally agree. Before I started looking seriously for my last house, I ran into a realtor who had explicit rules from one of her clients that he would only look at houses with garages that could fit his F250 Crew Cab longbed.

When I was looking for the house I have now, I told my realtor that I wanted at least a three car no smaller than 24 deep x 32 wide, and/or the space on the lot to build an additional deep 2 car. before he would show me a house, he would look at the County permit listings that showed the garage size.

I ended up with a 3 car that's 28 deep x 34 wide, and the space to build an additional garage if I so choose.

I did have to pass up some houses that I really liked, but the garages were way too small, and they were on dinky lots, so I couldn't add additional space.
28x34 is no slouch. And you gotta stick you your guns, you are after-all the one paying for it AND living with it. Good to nkow there are realtors out there fighting for their clients.

I went 28x28 and I'm glad I did. While I have tons of room when I parked my little car on the slab. I know when the building it done and in the future when I have a truck it's going to be much smaller. There is a 15ft ramp/parking pad so it looks even bigger than it is.1000012223.jpg

24x28’ deep has worked well for me… always a project vehicle in the garage and room to pull my daily in for service if needed

My last garage was 24x24. 01 extended cab gave me about 1’ between bumper and work bench.

this one 26’ deep. Mucho better for the ‘12 Crew cab. Probably 2’ now.

if ever another garage…..has to be minimum 28‘ deep.
