KrisKustomPaint - this is what a 2 stage looks like / notice one cylinder is much larger in diameter.
Judging by your user name - I will say, for body work, a 2-stage will put out cooler & drier air / plus >CFM.
- I paid $750 for my 6HP 2-Stage compressor (175 psi max.) with Sharpe Air Drier + 3 brand name used paint guns
- still better than a new $999 2-stage, from TSC / that over-rev. at 3600 RPM (old ones at @1740 RPM and go forever)
1-stage value - quarter to half price, of a 2-stage model (rough estimate) / looks like a decent unit, your considering.
Test a used compressor volume - by hooking up a 6" D/A sander to an air line and trigger it wide open, to see how the CFM keeps up / if only adequate (have to wait for the tank to refill) - ongoing sandblasting would also be limited.
