Thanks for the heads-up on this! I contacted the guy on Friday and went and picked them up Saturday morning. He actually had two brand new sets so I got them both. They were having a garage sale but I got there just a few minutes late and missed out on some other great tool deals, but was glad to get these sets. Thanks again!

That's the price the orig. Hazet's sell for, if not for a lot more. New they're around $950.

I know-- I'm not man enough for that! Besides, I wound up picking up that vintage one I posted here a week ago. Seller had two people flake on him and I got it for a bit of a discount when all was said and done. Not even sure how often I'm going to use that one, not to mention an industrial one.

The Clausing is gone now anyway, so it's moot, thank goodness. I was considering your option, believe me...

Hey guys, those are mine. The Cman was sold this weekend. I put those prices on for CL, but if any local GJers want them, I'll let them go for cheaper.

I try to weed out the ******** lowballers on CL. They'll offer you $7 for a $100 item, ya know. :beer:

That Clausing drill press was a smoking deal. You could easily sell it the next day if you didn't like it and then take the whole family out for sushi with the money made from it.

Yeah it probably weighed 300 lbs but it comes apart or just rent a trailer from HD for $45/day. Lighter than the 20" Powermatic Drillpress I bought for $100 but I would rather have the Clausing.

The best part about the deal; the drill press looked in great shape, it was a keeper. A true workhorse.

I hope I'm not making you fell bad, well actually a little but I think you live in Sacramento which probably meant it would have been long gone during the time it would have taken to get to SF so don't feel bad.

All true, it was a hot deal and I do live in SF, so it was only 5-6 miles away. I gave it hard thought but didn't have the people to help in the short window.
I wrote the guy with a couple of questions so I could post answers here but never heard back so it's possible he was already working on a deal. I just hope a GJ member was one to get it.

Unisaw needs handwheels and work, sander combo works fine, scroll saw needs a stand and some blades, plus a belt.
Much more than $200 in value here.....

It's a bit of a project but for $200 for all three aint bad. The belt/disc sander is worth that alone; It's a Walker Turner design and has the orig. base. The Unisaw top looks good as well but you need to leave the scroll saw in the alley unless you really need one.
