Proto Tool Cabinet Chest Box on Wheels - $55

"This is 6 drawer cabinet on casters. There are 5 sliding drawers and one cabinet. As you can see from the pictures, the cabinet is not in perfect shape, but it's still solid! There's no major damage, just some surface rust and grime from years of use and it's slightly out of alignment.

It measures 18" deep x 27" long x 40" high.

Here's your chance to own a top of the line brand name for a fraction of the price"

Thanks for sharing, great find at a great price. I'm 400 miles away and even so instinct kicked in and I thought for a half-second "is there enough gas in the truck..?"

Forgot to mention. If you're ever in the Yakima/Union Gap area and have time/space for larger items, stop by our local restore. They have some good over workbench/counter storage units at times among other metal shelving (think Sandusky Lee stuff, only the older sturdier designs from many different brands).

Just something to keep in mind if you're in the area (On Mead near 1st).

Hey Anyone In West Chester PA ???? GO GO
Huge Free Grinding machine for parts or scrap. Lathe Mill. (West Chester, PA)

http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/zip/5481715396.html

Those interested please read:

1. Respond with Only "WC grinder" in subject line so I know you're not an automated response. Responses without this will be deleted.

2. Respond with a phone number in the body of the email for me to reply to.

3. Tell me what equipment you have and plan to use to remove this. Please note a pallet jack does not fit underneath.

Equipment needs to be picked up AFTER 5PM today or tomorrow. This is an enormous piece of Swiss made grinding machinery that probably weighs at least 2 tons and NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM OUR FACILITY. Similar to a mill or a large lathe. There is clear passage to our loading dock. YOU MUST HAVE A WAY TO REMOVE THIS MACHINE AND EQUIPMENT. Please do not message if you do not know how to move equipment of this size or are planning to put this in the back of a pickup truck. This will require a large truck. For everyone's safety, those who show up with inadequate means to remove the equipment will be turned away.

The parts alone are worth a lot of money and there is a ton of scrap metal here. Local pickup in West Chester PA.

Someone grab that SO box, you can still get keys/locks from SO (via Jonco) pretty cheap, if you have the lock # you can just buy keys too. I've rekeyed my heritage boxes to the new rounds. Would love to have this box if it was closer.

I already sent the guy an email asking if I could come look at it. Assuming you are talking about the one I posted...

What's a fair price to pay for this box? Did they put rollers in the larger bottom drawers back then? I've seen these before and folks want huge money for them.

Yeah, if you can use that configuration with the big bins as bottom drawers, go for it. That seems to be a fair price if the sliders work OK or you are willing to convert to modern rollers. I have heard of friction sliders lasting almost forever if you keep 'em clean and well greased. That narrow upper "side box" is very cool!

I knew I should have just got in the truck after work and drove all night I could have been home with it tonight....someone is getting a hell of deal on that classic.

I happened to pass by near this area, so I took a detour to see this box this morning (Saturday). I did not bought it - maybe this is a good deal for SO box but it seems to be in worse shape than what I expected.

Box was dirty (expected - which is fine with me). The top box has broken top latch. The bottom box the last 2 drawer is hard to pulled - I think this is due to a dent in the drawer. Some surface rust in the bottom rear. The rest of the drawers on both were hard to pull out, but maybe some grease and clean up would help. Box was stored in corner of dark garage, so it is kinda hard to see. I had little flashlight from my phone to check it out. Overall pretty worn out for me - maybe this is a good deal for someone, but just not for me. I also find out that someone look at it Friday, and obviously didnt purchase it - I wonder if this person is from GJ....

I texted the seller Friday evening that I will be there 10-10:30AM. The seller made me wait 45 min before he showed up. At that time, I was in a hurry because I need to be somewhere else at noon, so I only look at it for like 10 min then left. Seller is pretty set on price at $200. I really didnt have time to haggle as I am running late, and pissed since I waited 45 min for him to show up. I texted and called the seller several time while waiting, and the seller kept saying just a few min. Only after I tell the seller that I am leaving, he showed up immediately while we were on the phone, made me wonder if he was just sitting somewhere watching us in the car steaming....

Hope this helps someone. So the search continue for a tool box for me...

the ad has been pulled for the snap on tool box, I hope one of you guys got it.

I never went and looked at it. My wife had me running all sorts of errands and couldnt make it there. His original ad had him located right next to me but he claimed he "messed up" and was actually 45 minutes away.

I just bought a brand new HF 44" box and a 31" used Snap-On for cheap. I really didnt need this one, but I am drawn to these deals now like a moth to a flame because I cant score a HD deal.

I sure hope someone here got it.

It was a steal even with the rehab costs and time for $200. Never anything priced like that around here.

I bought my Heritage series top box for $350 and then waited another year and change to find the bottom matching for $400 and then got lucky and found a matching sidebox for $75.

Put about $150 in them with the new matching SO locks, set of HD casters, and some slide replacements plus a lot of sweat and time.

I would have been tickled pink to get that top and bottom for $200 and put another $200 in it to make it perfect.

If anyone needs a single lock with key let me know I have one from my Heritage top box, pay postage and it's yours just have to dig it up.

Takang TK-330 Toolroom Lathe, 13" Swing, 30" Center Distance. $609 (South Gate, CA)

Does look like it needs some love to get it going again but shoot him an offer but I would spend some time figuring out whats wrong with it prior to paying, take a look at the cross slide hand wheel, there's something wrapped around it. Looks like it may have an old school DRO and coolant as well. Just add a quick change post. These are asian lathe's but if you can get the price down a bunch then it might be worth it. Check to see if it has imperial markings on the dials and not metric.

"Used lathe. I am not familiar with these type of machines. I was told it needs 1 or 2 parts to operate properly.
I have no need for it so make me an offer. See pictures or call pls."

PS> Always ask if there's any parts laying around for it. It's always very good to find the tooling for it.

$605 should get it home...just kidding, I wonder what it weighs? 1500 lbs?

Just shy of a ton bare, the 450 comes in at exactly 2000# the 330 was just over 1800#

Not a bad deal depending on what it needs considering in 1984 this machine was north of $12K depending on chuck and tooling also branded as Ramco and Liberty IMMSC
