Re: Snap on ratchet ? $20.00

Who sells a single wrench? Something sketchy about that.

Reminds me of the time someone came up to me at a gas station and said they had all kinds of tools for sale cheap in their trunk. Yea, no thanks.

Have you ever browsed categories on CL? All kinds of $5-10 items on there.
A single $20 item is pretty common. Just because you wouldn't sell a single $20 item, doesn't mean some high-school kid with no real income or cashflow, that found it on the side of the road wouldn't. I bought a single Milwaukee stepdrill on CL last week for $10. It wasn't in a package, but it had never been used.

I texted the guy, and we met about an hour later at the local gas-station/convenience store. Three minutes later, I was driving away with a new stepdrill. And believe it or not, he never pulled a gun on me or hijacked my truck.

meeting in a pubic place is a great idea. cuts down on the exposure for both parties. the buyer isn't the only one who might get robbed.

some police stations have "craigslist exchange areas" in the station parking lot. they have a camera pointed right at it, in case there is ever a question . . . . . and they are right there.

I'm not a snap on guy but this seems like a good deal ?!?

http://raleigh.craigslist.org/tls/5777277382.html

those are awesome boxes. i have a kr555/550 (9 drawer bottom), a kr555/550 (8 drawer bottom), and i just picked up a kr655/650 (all roller bearing slides, my top also has a gas shock, rather than the older style chromed arms), all different generations of the same box. the first two are pretty full, since the shallow drawers encourage laying your tools out flat rather than standing them in racks on their sides, but finding things is really easy when they are all laid out like that.

900$ might seem like a lot, but for the condition it is in, it likely isn't. it would be interesting to see how long it lasts, assuming you dont get it. if you are tempted, you can always offer, say, 750$ and see what he does. assuming the drawers all open and close without issue, and from the condition i would assume it would, that would be a deal to be proud of.

That is definitely worthy of posting here in this thread. Nice job and nice deal!

Somebody hurry up and grab that, it won't last long. He has his number posted.

macgee has called it right again. That is a killer deal. I am amazed that the ad is still up. Personally I would pick it up at double that price even though I don't need it. Nice find PFS

"This is a smaller delta older bandsaw

Cosmetically not the best cord has a spline joint has no effect on performance I have a few other saws and hardly ever use this one and my space is limited reason for selling $75 firm Los Angeles"

That looks like a pretty good deal especially being a KRL..I would be tempted if it was local to me..

Snap on black knight box top & bottom and side locker, I'm new here but this looks like a good deal to me, I'm only in the market for a smaller home box or I'd get this one.

Limited Edition Snap - on Tool Box 30" deep monster ! - $2200

Cool old tool you found there. Chop saws have made them obsolete of course, but they are still really cool.
Here is a similar one I found online and better yet, here is a link to watching and hearing it cut through a solid steel rod.
Gotta love the big flywheel on this saw! :rocker:

Cool, I think that's like the one I have, with its own legs.
I haven't done anything with it yet, but seeing that one, I may set it up. It needs restored too.

Never seen a grinder from this company, but I recognize the style.

http://rochester.craigslist.org/grd/5840729297.html

"This vintage Diehl 6" bench grinder works great. I think it was manufactured in the 1940s or 1950s? by the Diehl MFG. CO. Witch was a division of the Singer MFG. CO. This is a high guilty 1/4 HP machine (like most things were back in the day when they made things to last a life time). You can see by the pics its in real good condition for its age. It measures 12 1/2" long x 11'' tall x 8" wide. It weighs 37.5 pounds. And has a 6 1/2' long power cord. Just a real nice old vintage bench grinder for your shop or for your man cave, if your a vintage tool collector. If interested please call or text me at show contact info Asking $45.00 or B.O. Thanks. "

Looks like it was hardly used.
