It's been very busy past few weeks. The insulation is 80% hung, and the interior walls are now 80% run with planks for the interior finishing. We had our annual corn roast the other weekend, and needed some outdoor seating, so i made some tables for the occasion.
I originally ordered 12' sheets of tin from Menards at 27" wide. To my disappointment, the material was utter ****. Please do yourself a favor and avoid purchasing corrugated metal from any of the big box stores. The seams will not seal/overlap correctly, and it will come in significantly undersized in thickness. Thankfully, Menards allowed me to return the material.
I made a call to Corrugated Metals down in Illinois and had a custom run made and cut to size. 5 days later i loaded up the trailer and went for a drive. The material is absolutely fantastic, and the folks there are great to work with. Moral of the story: don't cheap out on building materials.
Here's the first two 44" sheets hung
One soffit light is hung. I'm hoping to have the rest up tomorrow. You can also see the gutters that were installed a few weeks back. I also just recieved the gooseneck lights for above the garage and service doors. My hope is to have them installed this weekend.
