I thought it would be handy to have a little 8×12 framing square. Thay are very cheap so no big deal. On Amazon, the Vinca, made in China, got good reviews but complaints that the scale on one leg was in 12ths. I looked at the picture and sure enough, it was. Then I looked at the picture of the one from HF. Same thing, 12ths. Maybe it comes from the same Chinese factory. Is there some carpentry need for 12ths of an inch or is it just a Chinese screw up? I have seen tenth scales, I have one, but never 12ths. My guess is the metric schooled Chinese figured if there are 12 inches in a foot, then the inch must be sub divided into 12ths. Sort of Imperial base 12 vs metric base 10 (mm, cm, meters).
