Yep some people claim Snap-On is bad about warranty or at least warranty without receipt but not IME

Although anything other than voice seems to have a higher success rate so try chat or email rather than calling. They've sent me box lid struts and ratchet rebuild kits with zero fuss.

You are right, I don’t even deal with the local snap on dealer anymore because he just gives you **** all the time.
I’ve been going thru cooperate via email and always have success and half the time, I don’t even have to send them the old tool.

I concur. Just got my Snap-on warranty items yesterday. I called them. I did have to send my old stuff into them though. No muss no fuss, but it did take over two weeks, while they said it would be one. I am certainly not complaining. Higher initial quality and the warranty and ease of warranty service make the price of snap-on worth it.

Nice! I've had nothing but good things to say about they're warranty. I've never had to deal with a truck so all my experience is over the phone or online. Everyone I've worked with had been helpful and got the replacements out to me quickly and painlessly. I have had to send a few items in but for the most part they usually don't require it.

They are bit slow sometimes when it comes to shipping but I love the warranty and of course the tools.

Can you post that email address? I live in mainland Europe and Snap-on tools of any description are rare, you don’t have the trucks doing the rounds or anything of the like. There are Snap-on websites but the quantity of stock they carry is very limited for example snapon.es has a total of two roll cabs and two top boxes to choose from on the entire website. I recently bought a kra63b with friction slides and they are near the end of their lives and I really want to replace them. Iv hit a complete dead end in Europe to get them and I might have better luck in the USA tracking them down. Paying for them is not an issue but if I could contact Snap-on directly via email they could point me in the right direction.

Trust me. DBRH#1 and DBRH#2 are NOT free. Somebody. Somewhere. Is paying for them.

And now for the lawyer part: YMMV.

Eh, don't feel bad for Snap-On here. They're making money, and last I knew their stock was strong and only going up (although the entire market ain't great right now so that obviously might change)

You're paying for that warranty up front, just like how a rebuilt alternator at AutoZone might be $140 with a lifetime warranty but the same one on eBay or even thru RA with a basic 90-day or 1 year warranty is $60

Sure, the OP got an extra (not his fault) but OP if you're feeling guilty donate it to a vo-tech student in need or a non-profit or something.

Some will tell you to try to return it to Snap-On but I wouldn't bother. If that makes me a bad person I'm good with that!

I called them once to buy a rebuild kit for an old ratchet I bought off eBay (SL710). I used to use it at work and the spring was worn out, especially in Loosen for some reason. Taking it apart, teeth showed signs of chipping. had seen that kits were $10 which isn't a bad price at all, but the guy I talked to on the phone sent me one free. And yes I was up front I bought it used.

New kit had the little bullet plunger instead of the ball bearing just sitting on the spring, thumbs up there Snap-on , way easier to reassemble. I also gained 8 teeth! Original 24 vs 32 rebuild. However the spring needs trimmed I think, as backdrag is INSANE. I have yet to get around to it, so that was the only negative part of the experience.

Yes the orange handle and I had It for almost 5 years or so.

They must have had a issue as I don't remember the last time I saw a orange handle hammer and anyone with one got it traded out no questions asked.

Last summer I ordered a single combination wrench and when the package arrived it also contained a free(?) Volkswagen adapter of some sort...

Would have rather gotten a dead blow hammer. Lucky.
