I really need to lower the M3 just a tiny bit. It'll honestly make such a big difference eliminating that wheel gap and helping the 19" ZCP wheels really fill up the wheel-wells:
Brought the M3 to a local Rides & Coffee last Sunday. Rode in with my buddy and his clean '99 Civic Si (EM1):
Cool shot that my photog buddy took with his Nikon and lightly touched up with Lightroom (not sure on the Nikon model or what lens/settings he used):
I didn't take many photos, but there were a few standouts present:
On the garage front, one tiny update. I had recently borrowed a label maker from a buddy at work and finally got around to putting the labels up so I'd remember what each towel was used for:
A fellow BMW CCA member came over yesterday morning to drop off some items he had left over after selling his E46 M3. We caught up for a bit then went for a ride in his 2016 M2 6MT. Sorry, he went for the ride, I DROVE!
The M2 had an aftermarket short shift kit and was a blast to drive. I actually liked the rev match on downshifts. Such a sick color, too! Needless to say, I will own an M2 at some point in my life. Once the kids are older and 4 doors isn't as important, I suppose.
Tomorrow morning my neighbor and I leave for Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville,CT for the Barrett Jackson Northeast show. I've gone the last few years, but my neighbor was able to score some passes from his wife's cousin (who works for the marketing dept at the casino).
These passes let us access the auction block (so I could legit bid on a car if I wanted to, but I assure you, that won't be happening), go behind the scenes, access a special area near the auction that is supplied non-stop with food and drink (at no cost) and like 8 free adult beverages from other bars on top of that. Needless to say, I'm pretty damn pumped!!
I should have tons of photos to share. On top of that, my wife and his wife are driving to the casino a bit later in the morning to do girly spa stuff while us boys to car guy stuff. Then we'll meet up for dinner in the evening and stay the night. Should be a great weekend!
Cheers, folks!
