What applications have you used 10 gauge for?

long length to minimize voltage drop. For example I recently did a temp setup to power an air compressor that drew around 15amps at 240v. It was about 140' of cable so I used 10/3.

I havent had to, but I would also use 10/3 for long runs if welding (assuming mig welder running at 120v)

I cant guarantee that since I have no idea what you are plugging it into, or what you are plugging into it. For example, if you have a 200' long branch circuit with #12 wire you will have voltage drop problems no matter what extension cord you are using....

That being said, i think you would be fine with the #12

best way to ship a single 50' is USPS priority mail for $9.80. It should get to you in a couple days. Please note I am waiting on connectors to come in.

I cant guarantee that since I have no idea what you are plugging it into, or what you are plugging into it. For example, if you have a 200' long branch circuit with #12 wire you will have voltage drop problems no matter what extension cord you are using....

That being said, i think you would be fine with the #12

most of the stores carry all 3 common sizes, 16/3, 14/3, 12/3. The biggest difference with mine are the industrial grade connectors vs the lower quality molded connectors on all the store bought cords.

OSHA doesnt accept a cord with a metal junction box on the end of it. Thats not the intended use for the outlet box and the box isnt listed as such. If you need an outlet box on a cord that will pass an osha inspection, you need to use a rubber pendant box which is made for the purpose.

I know I have a couple hubbell 20A male plugs, not sure on the female connector -I will have to check on that. I have some 10/3. I think youre going to be looking at around $50 shipped, maybe $55 if i have to get a connector.
