You are a nice guy, I would have left it stand as is, it's not your responsibility to know what it costs retail, Caveat Emptor. You saved me Bolster, I would have bought it as I thought it was a great deal.

Obviously this is a sold/done deal.. I just want to point out that S/O I think actually lowered the price on these. I paid $25 for one off the S/O truck about 8 months ago and that's what they were listed at on the website at that time.

I just wanted to let you know that you are an outstanding member, there have been times that this exact situation has occured where a member has listed an item for sale, when researching it I find it considerably cheaper elsewhere BRAND NEW, I then PM the seller to kindly let them know and get a response such as "not my problem" or "thats what I paid for it" etc. This includes members posting in this thread, whom which I will NEVER purchase from!

What response would you deem to be appropriate? Are you making an offer when you "kindly let them know"? If you are making an offer you are not letting them know out of the goodness of your heart you are trying to use it as leverage to negotiate a deal. If you are not making an offer you are just wasting their time.

Well, you are definitely entitled to your opinion, however I would ask that you present it in a feasible manner. I actually was not making an offer on any of said items, I was merely giving the seller a heads up. I believe that the majority of the people here are not out to screw fellow members and may honestly not realize how much an item is new. EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED IN THIS THREAD! You can call it what you want.

I think more than a few members of this forum would say to themselves , "Why is this guy complaining about the price when he has no interest in buying what I'm selling". I guess it's just a difference of opinion, we'll just make sure we don't buy or sell to one another.

I am not sure why you feel the need to jumble every statement that I make, where did I say that I was "complaining about the price" did I NOT CLEARLY STATE that I was simply giving the member a heads up? Furthermore I never said anything about buying from you, nor selling to you. You can have it as you wish, but move on to your next target, I am done with this thread.

Seller kindly offered a refund, I said "thanks, but not necessary."
I'm $8 worth of irritated at self, not the seller. "Caveat Emptor." Come on, a guy who eats gopher and looks like me is clearly not the brightest knife in the drawer.
If you want one like it, you know where to go, and you can comfort yourself that you're brighter than Bolster. Everyone has a purpose in life, maybe my purpose is to make you feel smart in comparison to me, had you ever thought of that? And if I can make the entire board feel smart, for $8, that's probably a good deal in terms of happiness purchased.
Now let's move along...
