Well im to the point of framing the inner walls to run electrial and sheet rock it. Its 24 x 40 with 10' walls. Will be used for minor car work and gunsmithing.. any ideas will be helpful. Thanks

Thanks..still wondering about the ceiling. i was thinking about a drop ceiling instead od framing all the supports for sheetrock, plus easier access

I'd think humidity in a shop/garage would be too much for the drop ceiling panels. They'd sag in the middle, probably look quite poor in no time.

You could consider putting up a metal ceiling, though you should make some sort of walk-way in the attic, jumping those gaps in the trusses can be a task.

Got the walls framed up, breaker box and plug housings hung...and got a sweet deal on a suspended ceiling this weekend. Thank god for craigslist!!

Consider closed cell spray foam on the walls first, then fiberglass on top of that. I did that on a similar structure and it worked great. Really tight and no wall sweating. I couldn't tell from the pictures if it is already insulated.

yes, it has the roll on insulation now..thinking about buying more insulation to install after my wiring to help the sheetrock

Quick update..

i ran all the wiring and installed a disconect at the rear of the shop, finally have some temperary lights up...so no more cords running everywhere..

You shoudl definately look into the spray foam insulation. Also, what about 1x boards? They make a great decorative ceiling, but still remains somewhat inexpensive. I am waiting to see some gunsmithing!
