I've had a few people ask about my main toolbox - so I finally shot a review for it.

I've had the big Kobalt box form Lowes for a few years now - and I really haven't had any issues with it. This model has the little beer fridge in it - which they have updated with more tool storage.

I've been using this as my main box since my old house - and I filled it with tools.

All of the drawers are roller bearings - and open with no issue - even fully loaded.

I have been wanting to buy some LED strips for a long while now. I had watched a bunch of videos about them - and wanted to buy a set and see how they worked.

I ended up finding a set of RGB SMD 5050 LED strips for a great price. They are water proof - have 3 main colors - Red, Green, Blue - and have a remote control for them.

The LED strips came with the power supply box as well.

To begin the install - I mocked up the LED strips - and then cut them to the length that I needed.

After cutting all the strips - I trimmed the plastic coating that covered the copper circuits on the end.

The waterpoof coating has to be removed so that the connectors can slide over the LED strip - and then plastic caps can be snapped into place.

After getting the connectors and everything hooked up - I peeled the adhesive backing off of the LED strip and stuck it to the bottom of the cabinet. I put clear shipping tape every 6" or so over the LED strip to make sure it stays in place.

After the install - I hooked up the power and tested everything out - the 3rd bay setup worked fine with no issue.
The main bay strip however - the green color was not working at all. I swapped the white adapter control box from the third bay to the main bay - and the LED's lit up with no issue. I have contacted the seller - and I am getting a new control unit shipped to me. After that gets here - I will finish up the third bay install.

Parts Used:
5M 300 LED Strip Light 3528 5050 RGB SMD Flexible 44key Remote 12V Power
LED Strip Light Connector - 4 pin.

I've had a few people ask about my MaxJax - and lifting my lowered Corvette on to it.

Since the Corvette is so low - I had to find a way to get the arms under the car.

I do this by driving up on a set of Race Ramps Scale Weight Ramps, lift the back of the car with a floor jack, then put another set of scale weight ramps under the rear.

This gives me enough room to get up and under the car - and raise it with the MaxJax lift.

I have been looking at other brand tool boxes - and started to notice the latest trends that tool manufacturers are using in their new boxes. Then I noticed that Kobalt had come out with a new set of boxes that had internal charging for the upper box/tool storage area. So I did some research and decided I need to add a charging station to the top of my tool box.

Kobalt Box #538543

More tools for the shop!

I needed to press out some bearings on the Corvette - and need a hydraulic press for it.

In the video below - I assemble and review the Harbor Freight 20 Ton Hydraulic Press.

Overall the install went pretty smoothly - I had to flip around the press I beam - and change the bolts on the bottom of the press since I put them in the wrong spot.

Hopefully these notes will help save you some time when you assemble your press.

Tools Used:
Harbor Freight #32879 20 Ton Press

Thanks everyone for all of your support!

BJ - honestly - been hard at work on my Youtube channel - been running that the last 2 years.

Currently - working on my upgrading the E-Force blower on my Vette.

Just installed a new clutch, ported the blower snout, 102MM TB, and a custom intake - that is the next build series for the car/channel.

As for the shop - just added more gear track and hung up some of my tools.

I still need to install a minisplit - cut a hole in the wall between the 2 bays - and other various projects.
