Had an old Bose Sound Dock for my Ipod classic. Switched to latest Ipod and it doesn't fit the old connector on the Sound Dock. Solution? Bluetooth adapter
that plugs right into the old multipin connector. Sounds great. Really kicks *** for it's size. I looked on Fleabay and found lots of used Sound docks for sale. Look for a third gen unit and be sure it has the 120v adapter. Many in the $50-$75 range. The Bluetooth adapter was $25 on Amazon

I’m going to chime in on the Echo recommendation. I have an echo dot mounted to my garage ceiling, and another in my attached FL room mounted on the wall. Both are on the same network as my house so I can use them as an intercom, adjust thermostat, turn on lights etc.
I also have an Ion Pathfinder 2 speaker that I have set up to connect to my garage dot. All I have to do is turn on the speaker and it connects. It plays louder than I need, and also has radio functionality. The battery lasts like a year (not really, but I’ve only charged it a few times in the past year).

To the Bose question. I have a Bose bt speaker that I hardly ever use anymore. It sounds pretty good considering it’s size, but Bose is all name and marketing. You can get better speakers for the money imho

I was at home depot the other day and they had a hanging led tube light. Similar to a work bench type of hanging fixture. Had speakers in each end and sounded good.

My neighbor was turning one bay of his garage into a work out area. He was looking for what you are. I told him about them, when he told me he would like to add some lights also. Yesterday he said thank for letting him know about them. He bought three and not only does he have light, the speakers sounded really great. He even turned them up to show me, for when he wants to really rock out.

I ended up with some Thiel Audio speakers.
I have the Home version in the shop & it out performs the 5.1 Harman Kardon system it replaced without breaking a sweat.

Tour MSRP $600
Home MSRP $900

Long-story-short:
Thiel went out of business & was liquidating assets.
Girlfriend was in a bind so I was going to put her to work selling these speakers.
I bid on more than I thought I would win & got all of them... 25 of each.

I've been selling them for $200 & $300

Damn... I didn't realize Thiel was going out of business. :(

I always liked their products.

I understand if you don't want to say but may I ask what you paid each for those speakers? Again, I understand that can be a sensitive question when you are trying to sell inventory.

there was some upheaval with them because the owner died & his wife took over the business before they went under.

As far as $$, I'm not making a killing, & still able to offer them at a significant discount to MSRP

I have a TDK A33’s in my garage. All ways wondered how that much rich sound comes out of such a small box.🧐 Newer models have been introduced to their lineup.
