ok this may confuse some.. i don't know. I have a liftmaster 8500.. so it has a wireless garage door light for my ceiling. i'm going to be putting up drywall this summer and putting in my lights. i don't want this big ugly box just hanging down their.. i was thinking of recessing the light up into the attic section then attach my lights to it through the ceiling so they all look the same.
Basically my Q is, can i have the led bulb wire screwed into the garage opener and also splice into the wire and attach it to a switch? that way when i open the garage the light will still turn on, but when i'm out their i can flip the switch and have them all on. so when the garage light timer runs out that 1 wont turn off on me.. it would be annoying. i'm only not sure if that would be like back feeding the opener light i don't know.. in my head it all should work out but who knows how that would actually work.
