OK. So the wife and I are in process of building a new house for ourselves and naturally, the garage is mine. I do not have the room to build an extra garage on the lot but I do have the ability to max out the attached garage to the 1000sq ft max. I will also be getting 12'4" ceiling height so I can have a 2 post lift.
I'm adding a few pics to ask about garage door options. Basically, there would be one single door and a double door for option 1 or three single doors for option 2.
Option 1 has a 10' single door and currently drawn with a 16' double door.
Option 1 has roughly 6' "space" to the left of the big door and 7' "space" between the doors.
Option 2 has 2 10' doors and a 9' door.
Option 2 has roughly 2'8" "space" on the left, 2'8" in the middle and 3'8" "space" to the inside bay.

I think I like option 2 better but would I miss the "space" available? The lift will go in the deep bay and will be a 2 post lift.

What are folks opinions and why? Thanks!

I have a human door, double door, and a single door (your option 2).
After a long road trip, it's a lot easier to pull into the double door than the single door garage. I always feel like I'm going to hit the edge of the single door.

If I had to do it over again, there would be 2 double doors! In the grand scheme of a new house that extra double door isn't going to be much more $ or real estate.

One double and one single. If you ever want to put something big in there you will be glad you did.

I have a single plus a double. I can't fit my truck in either, but I can pull it part-way into the double one, to get out of the sun and change oil, etc. You definitely want at least one double door.

Well it looks like the double wide door is an easy winner. Pictured in the plans is a 16' door but I have the space to go wider. Do I go to 18' or 20'? Also, should I shoot for 10' high or 9' high doors? The garage will only have a window off the back long bay so do I add them into the garage doors too for more light or not to keep prying eyes out?

You have the space it looks like for three 10' wide doors. I would go that route. There aren't many things that won't fit in a 10' wide door. I am not a big fan of 9' high doors. They take six 18" high sections. 8'9" is five 21" sections. My vote would be three 10x8-9 doors, unless you want to go higher like 10'. As far as windows, you can always go with an obscure glass if you are worried about prying eyes, or being higher off of the ground helps too.

I don't think you could ever go wrong putting in a wide door. "Just my opinion"

Personally I think it would look better than 3 smaller doors and you will never be sorry you went the wider route. Going wider than 16' probably wouldn't be worth it because you would probably get into all sorts of engineering upgrades for the wider opening. At 16' you are going to need a pretty hefty header already and then you have to worry about the overall look of the frontal view of the house being out of proportion with the rest of the house.

My vote would be the wider route, I have had both 2, 10' wide doors and the house I have now has a 16' wide door and I would never even consider a smaller door again. It's so nice to be able to pull into the door and be able to open a door on a car or truck on either side and get out without knocking the paint off the car door. Even 10' wide door don't leave much room on either side of a full sized car or truck.

Since the majority of the front of the house is garage, I'd opt for the 3 doors - breaks it up some. May not be as practical, but aesthetically, it's more pleasing. If it was on the back of the house, I'd go for one big / one small.
If you wanted to decrease the impact of the doors even more, you could go to 9' on all three. I've got twin 8' and it's a little tight, but not unlivable.
