Stuck in a bind and im hoping to get some insight on what you would do.
I just had a 16x7 garage door installed (minus the torsion bar) and the door is centered, but the opener that was previously there isnt. It's off about 2 inches. While the opener rod can connect to the door bracket, im really concerned with strength and wear over time.
The only option ive considered so far is get a 1x6 piece of wood, screw it into the beam, and then screw the opener track into that which would center it. Im a first time homebuyer so some of this is still new to me.
