It's been a long haul getting the new garage/shop done...

We started in April getting estimates, ran into some hurdles with septic, moving a 10x20 garden shed, and location, etc.. but things got rolling. It's 24x38 and will have a seperate storage room and small office to be added later.

June: select bidder
July: Finally get septic location identified and plan approved
August: Get septic moved and final permits approved

As you can see the front half has a 10' ceiling. I removed the ceiling joists in the rear and added collar ties in order to have a "cathedral style" ceiling to make room for the lift. This area will be insulated and finished by a laborer as I don't have the scaffolds.

..and plenty of room for the race rig to park alongside!

Congratulations Chris. I love those storage trusses at the front of the shop. They create a lot of space.

I'm working on a 26x36, and can't wait to get into that space.
