WHERE
This project is taking place in rural Western Kentucky.
WHAT
I'm wanting to add a garage / shop / "gathering" point near my house -- what I've decided to build is a 30 x 40 shop, with 10' ceilings having three 10x9 insulated bay doors, four standard double-hung windows, and two standard metal entry doors.
To further accommodate the "gathering" point requirement, I've decided on two 12x30x10 covered, gabled porches.
The building will be covered entirely in metal to match the house best as possible, including a white metal ceiling on all areas (shop, and porches).
Concrete will be poured at least 4" thick throughout the entire area of the building while allowing for a single drain point in the center of the shop, including a full length apron extending 10' to the front.
PROGRESS
As of 08/29/2010, the shop is built and is ready for the extensive "inside finishing". I've started hanging OSB on the inside, and plan to trim all windows, posts, etc with OSB as well.
