I proceeded to start welding up the frame for the bandsaw dolly yesterday. I spent a bit trying to figure out how to attach the casters. I came up with simply welding another piece of angle to each corner.

One more to weld on.

When I'd drop something quickly my smart *** son would say "is that hot"? I'd just respond by saying "nope, it just doesn't take me long to look at it". :ROFLMAO:

What really ***** is when welding overhead and you have one of those small hot bee-bee's go down behind your leathers and you can feel it go down your chest and you hope it stops there and doesn't find its way out your pantleg because you know it will burn everything in its path. And I mean everything. My wife finds burn holes in my undershirts and questions them but I have to explain I had a nice bead going and didn't want to stop welding and have to restart.

I like to weld sitting down and every once in a while a BB falls in my shoe. Sock slows it down and then you can't get shoe and sock off quick enough. I do the hissing through my teeth thing and quietly say a lot of bad words.

Don't you love the ones that land in your ears as well? You can smell as well as hear flesh burning..

Any thoughts on trimming the little bit off excess off the feet you added on? The corners would be ankle biters at my place. Catching one of those in the dark on my way to the beer fridge would hurt like a SOB.

I thought about that when I was painting it. It's going to live under the pallet racking in the addition, so it should be out of the way.

However, I think I'm still going to take the grinder and round off the corners.

I don't know ab out Eric's experience, but I love using bed frames. Light weight and strong for its size. And I love how much I pay for it.

Nutt, did you or your dept have any involvement with the pile-up out your direction? I went by yesterday I think but there wasn't much left in the ditches. Indiana was much much worse in terms of vehicles off the road. Hopefully a happy holiday was had at your place.

That was about 1/2 hour north of us on the turnpike. There were cars stuck all over the county here though.

So while cleaning up yesterday and putting some stuff away in the garage, I saw a few drops of water on the floor. I knew exactly what it was.... results of a blowing snow storm the other day. Those winds blew snow into one of the attic vents. I got out what snow I could.

Good lord, maybe turn the vent when it’s blowing? Lol

Might be worth the time in looking at a baffle setup for that vent, kinda like a muffler so to speak.

I had a piece of ductwork to stick up in the vent to keep the snow out but no idea where it went. In 20 plus years, it's only the second time this has happened.

I hope your wife is feeling better . . .

The above could be the motto of this place :

I got one of those somewhere here. I wish I could find it . . .

Happy New Year!

Maybe it got moved during your ceiling insulation project?
Who knows where it went. I could have tossed it.

Both times that snow has gotten in , has been an oddly peculiar storm. The first time time it was really fine snow and driven in. This time, it was sustained 30-40 mph winds aka "blizzard like" wind conditions as they say. I think what also may cause an issue is the wind wraps around the house/garage and snow drifts between the house garage and my garage.

Thanks Jim.

If I use something on a regular basis or semi-regular basis, I know where it's at. If it doesn't get used but once every few years, game over.

trying to figure out after all these years where the "Nut" part of Sergeant comes from :) ?
It's not Sgt, technically I was a Corporal.

It should read more like Nutt'sGT, as in my '86 Mustang GT.

It's a take off of the plate I had on my 1987 Z28, NUTTSZ while I was in the Marines. The wife picked up the nickname Nuttsy while she worked at Verizon. So when we traded in the Z28, we changed the personalized plate to NUTTSY, her current plate.

Unfortunately, NUTTSGT is to many letters for an Ohio license plate, besides, the Mustang now has historical plates on it.

So I have been trying to figure out a way to run the blower for the wood burner off the generator for a bit. I came across a YouTube video showing how to do it for a home furnace. So I did the furnace and well pump in the basement.

Then I moved out to the garage and I have this to work with.

KIMG0194.JPG

I sat on a stool for about 10 minutes, grabbed a note pad and came up with this plan.... I'm probably the only one who understands it.

I took a picture of it to make sure I didn't screw it up if I had to go back to the original. That was yesterday. In doing so, I had my phone sitting on the work bench beside me and created another issue.
I was scheduled to work an overtime spot tonight, 1500-0709, which would have led into my shift. Since I have no service on this side of the garage, I missed the update on the overtime for last night 1700-0700. So not only did I miss that call, it moved me down the list and I lose 16 hours today. That's a chunk of change....

So I said "Not Again" at went to Best Buy today.
KIMG0199.JPG

Hooked up and sitting there till I get a shelf made. It works nicely 55Mbs and 11on the upside.

I knew that feeling about missing OT pages. I hated that about the system. The OT would have paid for a couple of more projects.

So if I’m reading your diagram correctly, the switch powers the plug which In Turn opens/ closes the thermostat? Or adjusts the thermostat as needed?
