Less spaces and less cash in my pocket now.

I do the exact same thing. I have a running note in my "Apple Notes" to remind me. I write down what I notice, and as soon as I have a second, I transfer it to notes so I'll have it any time I swing by a place that sells things I may need.

** edit - WHY IS THAT SO BIG ?!?!?!

That's what she didn't say !

While putting the sockets away, I found a small screw up. Some how, I had a 3/8" drive 9mm socket on the list.

I didn't need it and it will be getting exchanged.

That illness caused by the peg bug is a royal ***** to get over E. 😁
Yeah, I know Cam. I have one socket that needs returned/exchanged at Menards.

About 5 shipped from Napa, which should be at the house tomorrow.

3 more Carlyle sockets that should be in store for pickup but just got an email that order was cancelled.

One more coming from Amazon.

Then there will be an update on the Hansen hit list.

So far I'm resisting myself from going down the rabbit hole you're currently in right now. I'm trying to hold off till I purchase a new 72" toolbox with a new 72" top box. This way I can organize to the new box instead of working around the old craftsman 26" boxes I currently have.

Well. . . . . I bought something. I guess it's plural.

Re: garage refurb

Well things haven't been working out to good lately and progress has been horrible. Things just went to **** today and I was stressed and about 10 shades of pissed.

I was going to rent a cut off saw to cut the concrete but figured I'd use a circular saw with a masonary blade. It worked before but it's hard onthe saw. So now I have Skil saw that I can use for "junk" work and keep my Dewalt circular saw nice.'

I used two box fans to push the dust out of the garage as I cut.

Here's a little progress.

My step dad came over with a water level today, we marked the perimeter for the concrete. I had it figured to pour 3.5" at the very back of the garage, which is higher. I knew there would be some low spots as the floor sloped. I didn't realize just how much til today.

Keep in mind the back will be 3 1/2" thick. (that pic disappeared FOUND ) This is at the northeast corner.

yep, that's 6 1/2 inches, I think I'm going to need more than the 13 yards I originally figured. . . . and that's how my day started. I'm planning on pouring Saturday, hopefully I can get some stuff done tomorrow.
Dont pour concrete less than 4in. thick!
Id put Fibermesh in the mix

The Ernst plier racks were a game changer for me. I had been using the PlyWorx wire racks and was never happy with them - everything kept falling over.

I bought a couple of the Ernst to try and they were great! I was going to buy 4 more and my wife says "You should probably get 6 so you'll have plenty of room". Just one more reason I love her!

I was considering buying some pliers rack but never had room as they were double stacked in a shorter drawer.

However, this may change in the near future.

Nice Eric. Looking forward to seeing everything all set up.

That top 42" box looks identical to the one I used for my lathe stand I recently built and had to modify the lid on. Other than the color that is.

So am I Mike, so am I.

Probably going to take some time. I'm off first half tomorrow to go with my parents to a procedure. Then back in for the second half of my shift. Then more than likely, working a 24 overtime shift on Wednesday.

I was at work Friday, Saturday and first half of Sunday. Time away from home ***** but the money is nice. Overtime will pretty much pay for these boxes in the next check. .. just gotta **** it up and think positive.

Nice toolboxes!
What was the reason for 42" and 56" toolbox combo? Breaking up home vs auto tools?
Needed the space and didn't have room for 2 56" boxes here.
Wheels different size?
Yes, I believe it is in the casters. Something that I think I can cure with some blocking.

I really like the color of those boxes!

I have some that same color to build into my work bench if I ever get to it. Looks good, can’t beat the price on them
I really fell in love with the color when I first saw it. I bought the top book for the other side and liked it so much that I bought a bottom box.

That was almost like a test run to buy these boxes. I had a talk with the wife about buying these boxes as a whole rather than piecemeal. It was a chunk to spend at once but she was fine with it. She told me that she knew I liked them as any time we were in HF, I was drawn to them.

Wonder if you could just get the same size casters and this way you don't have to deal with blocking and still be able to roll it around?
Once it's in place, it's going to stay there. I have enough steel to make permanent blocks rather than shell out $$$ for different casters.

If I were adding permanent blocks, I think I would install them between the caster & toolbox with longer bolts. That would keep it mobile.

:+1: my thoughts exactly
I understand the thoughts behind this but my boxes stay in place. They become a permanent fixture in the garage.

Besides, believe it or not, my garage isn't really big enough to be rolling them around. I barely have enough room to get my F350 in there to work on it.

Man you went all out, nice color choice. Those look great and not too glaring compared to the bright colors . Lots of organizing to get to now. I still have a couple empty boxes laying around that I haven't decided on what to put where yet because I have to design and 3D print organizers for everything I put in there. Are you the type to label the drawers on the outside?
