Eric, be careful were you drop that thing! After reading the article mentioned, I looked up the Festival and saw it is tentatively on! I try to make it to bucky rust for that in one of fuhrers automobiles!

Did a quick little project this afternoon. This is a cover for a large (mega size) Sharps container we have at the station. The actual lid locks in place and can't be removed.

The EMS mentioned he would like to come up temporary lid while we fill it and until it's full.

Yes, it's fire dept use only and stays in a locked supply closet. I'll get another picture of it once it's in place.

Got the one slide that was bent out of wack, close enough to work. Drawer trim cleaned and put back on.

As you can tell, I need one new long piece and probably s 2nd long one could be replaced.

So as mentioned before, this is a box I bought off Govdeals for $13.30 and it's been beat pretty hard. The lid is bent to **** and needs plenty of work. The front edge is wacked.

You can see how the front edge of the lid over hangs the front of the box.

The interior of the box is rusty and it needs a good cleaning as well.

I picked up a body hammer and dolly set yesterday and I have no experience using it all all. However, it's a good time to learn and the set actually cost more than what I paid for the box.

So I started working on the rolled edge of the lid. It's still a work in progress. Unfortunately, the right front corner is dented in and that there is bracing behind it. Without welding a stem on it to pull it out, my other two options are leave it or fill it.

Once I got so far on it, I moved to getting the lid to align correctly. Since I'm new to this game, I'm trying to figure what should get fixed first and what one fix does to something else. What I have to the conclusion is that the metal lid has been sprung and wants to do the oil can thing. I'm not sure if I can get that out of it.

As I was winding down for the evening, I popped the handles out and cleaned them. Picture shows one clean and one untouched. Dish liquid & Simple Green along with a brass wire brush and scotchbrite.

I took out most of the dent and added some filler. I knew I wasn't going to get all the bent metal out of the lid but I got most of it. I also knew the easiest way to finish it was to add some filler and sand it down. So the first coat of filler is sanded down and primed.

Then I turned my attention towards the bottom of the box. I should have started here but I didn't.

After grinding the rust off and sanding the majority of the bottom down, I wiped it down with acetone and primed it.

Once that dried, I rolled on some Rustoleum Bedliner. I didn't know I had any of this left or would have used it in the bottom of the drawers. I work tomorrow so it will give it plenty of time to dry and stand up to the rigors of finishing the rest of the box.

Been raining a bit the last week and the ground is pretty much saturated. Currently, it has been raining since non-stop since 2am. The yard has standing water and the perforated tile cap I put is covered with water.

So i wondered how much rain water was flowing through the tile I put in and tied into the drop out front. Do I braved the rain and snapped this picture. Needless to say, I was happy to see water flowing out of the tile and put the other tile to the creek.

You can have the rain and ito 38 degrees, just a few degrees lower and this would be snow.

Yes, this is ridiculous. I'm out of firewood for the garage but I can go get a load from my parents but also at less than 1/4 tank of fuel oil for the house. Frost on the grass again this morning.

I like surfing Govdeals. Some stuff is well used but other stuff, is like new. Checking drainage is the rain is like cleaning gutters while it's raining. No better way to see the quality of your work than when it's in progress.

We broke 50 yesterday and I was power washing front/back porch and patio. By the time I was done, my boots were soaked and the toes got cold. I called it an early day, a hot shower, wet clothes in the washer and in PJ pants and a t-shirt at 6:30-7:00.

Why I didn't put on my rubber boots ?

We finally broke out of the 40's yesterday, and didn't stop until we made it into the mid 60's. But over night we were back to the mid 30's. Good sleeping weather.

So when I added the airlines to the addition, I bought a small regulator at Menards. The sole purpose of this regulator was for the plasma cutter.

Unfortunately, it didn't seem to work and wouldn't the pressure down. As I didn't have the box and packing material, I wasn't going to return it. So I bought a different one, a DeWalt. It was very similar to the older Campbell Hausfeld ones I bought a decade and a half ago.

So off went the old one and on went the new one.

I pressurized the system and checked to see if it would bleed down when air was used. It seems fine unlike the other one.

My compressor is an oil-free Cman unit and runs at 175 psi.

Thanks for the info. My Speedaire regulator died last summer and I need to replace it. I paid decent money for it and for it to last only 2 years is a huge disappointment, so I'm looking for a replacement. But mine won't be set at a static pressure, because I hook various things to it (impact, paint gun) and I'm wondering what to use.

Question about your drain pipes for the air compressor. Do you drain your pipes, open up the valve on them, while the pipes have full pressure in them? I am just curious. I am always afraid to on mine.

I bought an oil-free when they became the craze and next best thing. . . . just like when I did PVC airlines. Thought it was great at the time but I learned. Now, I wouldn't do the same, either one.

I have a few drops, some regulated, some not. So I can choose where to hook in. I also have a regulator with male/female quick connects on opposite sides, allows for an easy way to regulate where ever. . . portable regulator.

Got the Mustang out of the enclosed trailer and brought her inside last night. I had to adjust the rocket arms in the trailer to get her started.

First project, getting the old flex fan off in preparation for the new one.

Then, mocking up the new electric fans and aluminum shroud.

The easiest thing, replacing the water pump pulley with shorter bolts.

If you look at the bottom of the fan shroud, you can see it's too short to get bolted on. Looks like a first welding project with the aluminum spool gun.

Yeppers, she spilt a block down the middle about a 1000' out on a pass.

Here it sits. I need to get the back of the box scuffed and roll on some bedliner. I figured since the back isn't seen, it would be the easiest to cover any damage.
