Just spent 5 hours standing at my bench working. I need a good stool with a backrest and it won't kill your ****. Any recommendations?
Craftsman hydraulic stool with backrest. It goes on sale frequently. I paid $50 a few years ago but I think it is in the $75 range now.

I have that one. It's ok, but sitting on it for more than a few minutes isn't very comfortable. I'll replace it if I can find one with better padding.
I have this one too. It's good for the cost but not that great. The back rest could be better. I can't imagine how comfy the back rest is for a large man, I'm 150lbs.
I sit in a computer chair quite a bit so take my opinion for what it's worth.
I've got a drafting stool that is adjustable. It has a hard Masonite seat, but is has a ergonomic curve to it, and is quite comfortable. And Believe me, when I say its comfy, it is. I have noassatall disorder and sitting for long periods is typically difficult for me.
Yea, I dont really lean back in it. I just sit on it like a barstool. Mostly leaning forward. So far its been good for a place to sit for a bit. I had to look up some things on the computer (45ish minutes) but dont really sit for long periods, I do move around quite a bit. You can adjust the back rest.I have this one too. The seat pad will lift right out and you can replace the foam with something better than what it came with.
The Craftsman one is pretty nice.
