Just spent 5 hours standing at my bench working. I need a good stool with a backrest and it won't kill your ****. Any recommendations?

I've got a drafting stool that is adjustable. It has a hard Masonite seat, but is has a ergonomic curve to it, and is quite comfortable. And Believe me, when I say its comfy, it is. I have noassatall disorder and sitting for long periods is typically difficult for me.

I dont know if you have Northern tool around you but these are 29 plus tax. Sturdy, im 270lbs. And leveling feet so no rock. 20 minutes to put together if you go slowc9f5dc85c7cbacb1b765883f70b1536d.jpg

Craftsman hydraulic stool with backrest. It goes on sale frequently. I paid $50 a few years ago but I think it is in the $75 range now.

Item # 00949860000 Model # KKU-1783

I have that one. It's ok, but sitting on it for more than a few minutes isn't very comfortable. I'll replace it if I can find one with better padding.

The seat pad will lift right out and you can replace the foam with something better than what it came with.

I have this one too. It's good for the cost but not that great. The back rest could be better. I can't imagine how comfy the back rest is for a large man, I'm 150lbs.

I sit in a computer chair quite a bit so take my opinion for what it's worth.

I have an Astro van seat mounted to a swivel base. Flip down arm rests, head rest, reclines to position and comfortable as hell! Even has a pouch in the back for a pistol. I have been known to fall asleep in it with my feet up on the work bench a few times. Lol!

Probably made side by side of the Cman stool. The Cman stools back rest is adjustable and can slide out backwards for a larger person.

I'm just over 6' and weight 195, I find the Cman stool quite comfortable. I have sat on it for long periods of time out in the garage. Like sitting on or any where else, a person should get up and occasionally move around or stretch.

I also have an adjustable drafting table stool and it's comfy.

This the the one I use in the shop, only mine has wheels. the back wraps around you and the seat has a hump for your rump.

I've also got one of these, and it's not comfortable for more than a couple minutes.

They come up at auctions for dirt cheap. I think I paid like $5-$10 for mine.

I like the bar stool idea.
Designed for long siting.
ON CL it will almost be a freebe.

Yea, I dont really lean back in it. I just sit on it like a barstool. Mostly leaning forward. So far its been good for a place to sit for a bit. I had to look up some things on the computer (45ish minutes) but dont really sit for long periods, I do move around quite a bit. You can adjust the back rest.

Be really careful when you get a barstool...they can be dangerous. For some reason I've fallen off a few in my life.🤕
