Well I've been lurking for a while now and finally bit the bullet and began the garage transformation.
Soon after buying our first house I tackled fixing the electrical in the garage (talk about a hack job from the previous owner!) added outlets, insulated the exterior walls and began sheetrocking. Unfortunately other priorities and projects halted the garage completion.
This week though I decided to make some headway on the garage and with the help of my father in law laid down some EpoxyMaster 100% solids coating (From Costco). See photos below.
Also picked up mud/tape and have been researching storage options.
Right now I'm leaning towards using some ClosetMaid Maximum Load shelving units. It appears to be able to support the kind of loads I hope to store on them (soda/beer from Costco runs, camping equipment, brewing supplies, tools, etc), is fairly affordable and allows for moderately deep shelving which most wall cabinets do not allow (most are only 12" deep and don't hold much weight).
A few questions:

A few questions:
- How long before I can begin moving things back into the garage? (e.g. rolling tool box, shelving unit, etc)
- Do tire mats like these (http://www.carguygarage.com/csm-tm-4.html) work for parking the vehicle on to minimize the risk of lifting with hot tires?
