Phase one can be viewed Here
Well, this weekend I tackled a new workbench.
48" tall, 24" deep, corner unit.
Holds the TV, Stereo (soon, need to rewire), Fridge, Microwave, and Coffee Pot (not pictured).

I still need to rewire the stereo and run a small extension cord for the surge protector.

The final leg and shelf needs to be installed, but this thing is SOLID. When we were attaching the Shelf for the TV, I was kneeling on it (above the fridge) and it does not move. Dead Level too!!!

There are multiple cross braces to improve strength and rigidity. Also, I used a 2x2 above the fridge for clearance.

Don't mind the TV, the Steelers already won and dad wanted to watch the Browns.. :)

Next Phase - move the current bench (old desk) next to the new bench and continue cleaning. Also need to finalize painting and redo the pegboards.

One step at time....

Today, it was just water and pop.
Normally, I do have a few beers in there...

I was pretty proud of myself since I do about 75% of it without assistance (as in, late last night with no one around to consult with when designing it and cutting 2x4x10 on a chop saw). Dad helped today with leveling the legs (planned 2X4, went 4X4 for support) assembling, and cutting the top (he screwed up with the circ saw.)

Maybe I should run a funnel for pisser and just keep a bucket of water for a sink? Would that complete the circuit? Then, I just need a murphy bed for late nights...

THe 8.8 will be down there for a little while. When I go to remove it, I will need to remove the now missing leg and shelf. However, this is part of the plan, since I overbuilt the rest.

Undecided. The legs are treated lumber (it was cheaper by about 60%).
The top - not sure if I will paint, stain, or simply seal with a waterproofer.
