Mak, I am strictly independant. Always have been. When I first started each company wanted you to be strictly pro-priotary, but for many reason I refused. I sell more 'Classic Roadsters' than all the others combined but I do do, FFR, A&C, Hunter, Shell Valley,Kirkham (rarely) Mid States, etc.
The block shown below is kind of Fords new hi-tech crate motor. I'm not sure about a new Ford 427 though. I do know that a new 427 aluminum block is available as a pricey option. Personally my heart lies with using the other snake motor

The Viper GTS V-10.
I can't tell you the number of guys that have told me to 'open her up' on a test ride and I ask them if they really want me to do that? Most say heck yes, I've driven fast Vets, GTO's, Mopars all my life. I will then feed the throttle fairly fast through second gear and watch their reaction out of the corner of my eye. When they hit their maximum 'Oh sheet' look, I slam 3rd and nail it. After the normal 'fish-tailing' and tire burning, along with the absolute roar from the sidepipes, I'll run it up to around 120 or so and then get out of it.
I have had more than one old hot-rodder get out of the car with the front of his pants wet!
Ever seen a Ford 9" housing broke in half? I mean the housing! Left the gears on the pavement, (National Trails- Columbus, Oh.) with no damage to the gears what so ever. Racing Vipers at the Chrysler Nationals and came out of the hole a little to hot! (Around 5,100 RPM.)
Oh heck! I didn't meant to get off topic, back to the regular posted thread!

PS.. Ken! I never put 2&2 together! How the heck are ya? Wendy is doing great with a long hard road in front of her. Hope all is well with your and yours!
