Hi all.
Next year i wanted to tackle the garage together with my dad. Cleaning it up to get a bit more use out of it other then to pile and store more or less useful stuff.
The garage is just a shed really. The basic idea is to mount OSB on the inside of the walls, to even out the space, and generate room for shelving and tool hanging. This will happen gradually, depending on time and money.
The Question :
What to put in between the outer wall and the inner osb Plate ? We got about 4,5" (12 cm) of room.
Is a vapour barrier needed ? Or can i just put in some rockwool and call it a day ?
Alternatively i have lots of styropor left overs from roof rennovations 2 years ago and for the first small segment it might be enough mass wise. Would have the advantage of not creating any additional costs for me.
Here some pictures to give you an idea on how the walls look like:

Thanks all for the feedback.
It is much appreciated.
Best regards
