Agreed. Based on what I can see, my objection would be to the rear garage door placement. (It's too low.) I would have planned to add fill in the garage and for the garage floor grade to be about 2 steps lower than the house floor grade; adjusting the exterior grading accordingly.

I agree with this also. The man door on the back of the garage is too low. With it in it's current position, you won't be able to bring the grade up to the same height as the house.

If you look at the picture that shows the entire back of the house, the garage man door is way lower than the back door to the house. They should be at the same level shouldn't they?

If nothing else, good gutters with down spouts that extend all the way to the right of the door/outside corner of the garage, to divert as much water as you can. In conjunction with proper landscaping and diversion channels to route the water away from the back of the garage.

From the look of your existing grade, I think it is fine. You can slope away from the garage and hose enough, and still have a tall garage. No way I would try to raise the floor of the garage, and the angle of the approach to the garage. They would be a real PITA in bad weather.

It's going to stay the way it is. Ill see what i can work out with the aesthetics when the ground dries up a little bit.

With creative landscaping, retaining walls and steps entry door threshold elevation can be anywhere. All depends on how many risers u want to lift the size 14 to get in or out.
