Hi GJ!
A close friend of mine became interested in woodworking after attending a class that I taught at my shop last year.
Since then, he bought a house and has been busily working to setup his own garage as a woodworking shop, complete with the ability to work from rough lumber onward.
Next week, I'm heading over there for a house/garage warming party, and I thought it would be cool to bring him something to further his new hobby.
My initial thought is that I have some rough cut lumber that was milled from trees taken from my property. He had admired a table I built from the wood, and thought it was really cool that it was built from "my trees". I would additionally bring him a case of his favorite IPA beers.
As garage guys, would my token gesture be well appreciated, or should I go back to brainstorming other ideas?
Thanks!
Bob R.
