Now this!!! :rocker: This is definitely what a garage should look like!
I would definitely look forward to parking my ride in there! If not, just to hang out! Damn, that's sweet!!!
Thanks for posting and sharing.

Just saw this thread, so here we go:

Here's mine. Nothing fancy but I'm still pretty amazed that 2 months ago it was just a patch of dirt...

I've been trying to find light fittings for my garage, similar to the ones in the pictures posted by .......

These type of light fittings don't seem to be widely available here, or at least not that I can find. But then I'm not exactly sure what to call them, or how best to describe them. So, is there a particular style name or other generic description of this type of light, that I could use to narrow down my online searches ?

Any & all help, greatly appreciated

I found mine in a junk yard. They were old warehouse lights. I fixed them up. You can see them in this thread.

hello kered,
sorry about the delay in replying, but as i posted last, i haven't been a frequent visitor lately.

my wife found the lights here:
www.barnlightelectric.com
i had bought another that was of terrible quality. after a year of not having a light, she got fed up and found this one. i'm happy with it - also, the backward slant to the shade is good for not blinding yourself as you drive up the driveway.

Mine were 49 bucks each new from Home Depot. They came bare Aluminum with White inside where the bulbs go. I painted them Hunter Green Rustoleum but left the White reflectors.

Great shots. There are some really cool garages pictured here. I will take some of mine at night and post them too.

No criticism of EMC2's garage whatsoever, it IS beautiful.

But if I wanted to "hang out" it'd be with my buddies in Ol 55's garage, Jack Olsen's or Nimrod's, hands down. I want to feel comfy, not like I have to use a coaster. YMMV.

Dan, none taken.
That's what is great about this forum; a really wide variety of tastes, preferences and ideas.
And yes, a coaster is required :D
