wingnut65, welding is easy if you take your time, and have everything setup to the correct settings. Of course wire feed is the way to go with the gas bottle. Just practice up on some scrap metal. When doing the panels make sure to do small sections to prevent heat warpage, and of course you can always grind it back off if its not right. I have faith that you can do a good job.
jagmandave the lift is moving up close to the top. The wind has broken my electric pole just below ground ( it was a old pole). So now in the process of removing the old pole and replacing with a better pole. The good thing around here is when the electric company replaces the old pole with new they will give the poles to the land owner. I got a better pole from my cousin. Its still 25 feet long, and heavy. So I still need to dig a trench and do all the new wiring, and lights. I do have a snap-on lift in the other barn, I can roll it into this barn. I'll have 10 1/2 feet height, which is a little short, but the other barn is only 8 feet high. I can get under the car but you have to sit in a chair.

The Coast -to- Coast Carport crew cannot read a tape measure, the whole 10' with the doors are ALL out of square. The 10' they added on the end is probably 3" jacked to the left, the walk in door is only 6' tall and its wall is over 1 1/2" off. It leaks water from the doors, and must be a couple of screw holes up in the middle of the roof
