Some new updates, picked up a forward 2 post lift im mid way through refurbing it, cleaned up any rusty areas and hit with rustoleum reformer rust coating. Then will finish with ppg alk200 like the mill n pallet racking.

First got it home took 5 guys to lift it into my pickup, forklift made it eadier to remove though.

no amount of washing or scrubbing could get this oil stain off so i decided to sand it down for a repaint.



Rebuilding the cylinders on monday with a seal kit i ordered, and replacing any cut hydraulic lines also.

Today craigslist brought me a atlas metal lathe in real good shape, need to replace one small gear n grab a motor for it. Also got a 6inch real vise for my mill.

Nice setup, nice toys, and I love the concept of all these garage together. I would love to share a property with other car guys like that, we sadly don't have it in germany..

First coat on the lift goes down, took about 30oz to cover 3 sides of the columns, carriages, and top hats.
Used my left over satin black alk200 from the pallet racking.

Wauting for gaskets to button it up,

Moved onto my snap on box i got last year. Drawers are sticky so i pulled them out what chore that was.

Ran all the ways end to end n put a little more way oil, in the Oilers. Nice n smooth im satisfied with the purchase. Gonna rewire it, and replace the motor bearings and its ready for another 30 years of hobby work.

Yesterday this came home, and got placed into its spot. One of the lead screw nuts had its mount bolt brokem off so it appear it didnt move. Got it apart and got the bolt out. Hand 2 handles to repair and shes good as new.

Spent this week putting up some killer new lights. James Industry 225watt 30klumens x 6 10volt dimmable and running on 240v.

Hats off to guys who work overhead for a living. I am still feeling the lactic acid in my shoulders

Rat Rod Gets a 454 instead of the junk 283 it came with.




Picked up 4l80e to put behind it just need sequential Shifter to go on it or Paddle Shift it.

Fork Lift Carb gave up the Ghost so tore it down and rebuilt it with a Kit. Runs Great Now.

Removed my Kalamazoo Bandsaw from the HF Furniture movers it was on. Caster Kit from Northern Tool got it onsale. Works Great rolls easy.
Base was built with scrap plate, and 1/2" x 1/2" Tube and perimeter Welded.
