Resubmit it with pics. The first time I got zero response. Someone on here suggested I resubmit a couple of months ago. I did with the same forms and the same pics. Within a week they sent me a replacement.

When the Gearwrench brand of ratcheting wrenches first hit the market, I bought several sets from Sears. One of my wrenches broke on the first or second use. The center ratcheting piece fell out of the wrench body with very light load. Anyway.... I simply called the phone number that was listed on the their website and the person who answered the phone (someone located in the US and spoke perfect English) said they would put a replacement wrench into the US mail immediately. No picture proof required, no need to send in the broken wrench, no form to fill out, no automated phone system.... I just talked to one person and they fixed the problem via a 3 minute phone call. The replacement wrench was in my hand a few days later.

I'm pretty sure GearWrench was it's own company at that time, before they became part of the Apex debacle.

I'm guessing the warranty process is a little different today??? lol.

Tried to replace at Lowes but they only had a full kit, not individuals.

They came from Sears. 1/2" flex head, head is floppy so unusable.
Not sure how come.

GEARWRENCH makes it simple, if your Mechanics Hand Tool fails, use the Warranty Replacement Form or contact customer service (877-626-3433) and we will replace it for free.

I always find that phone calls are much more effective.

A year or so ago I went through their warranty form on the website just to inquire about BUYING parts I had lost for a ratchet. I didn't hear anything from them for probably three weeks and then one day a whole new ratchet just showed up in the mail.

So I wouldn't call three weeks out of the question to answer your original question.

If I actually break something and need it replaced I just hand it to my Napa delivery driver and they usually have me a new one the next day.

Just gives a message about using the online form and hangs up.

The online form is what I filled out on 21 Apr 24.

Still haven't heard anything from them other than the message when I sent it about they'd be processing the form.

Keep in mind, we just came out of a holiday weekend. Some people plan vacation around Memorial Day with camping and such.

So maybe the office is a bit short handed?

I recently went through the same thing back in Feb, which took about a month. From my understanding (I believe I read it on their support page somewhere), they're currently transitioning to a new warehouse and inventory system, and were sorry for the delays. It would have been nice to get some sort of mention of that when getting the confirmation email.
Previously it only took about a week to get a socket replaced, so I'm hoping that things will get better soon.

Several weeks ago I contacted grip Edge tools about a broken tool, and although the first email response was lost in their system they had shipped it literally the next day. As you can see by the attached screenshots the post office has definitely dropped the ball on one small envelope with a quarter Drive socket in it. Hopefully your replacement shows up soon.

Not like it's stopping me from work. It actually in my work toolbox which is now basically a full spare set of tools in my shop since I don't work that job anymore.

I thought I'd already replied to this thread. Must have gotten lost.

I had a K-D Front End Service Set p/n 41690. Gearwrench used to be a sub-brand of K-D, but became so popular that the K-D brand was dropped in favor of the Gearwrench branding. The part number is still valid today.

I really only use two of these tools, and both of them needed fresh pressure screws. New screws are not available; gotta warranty the entire set.

So I call Gearwrench and talk to a woman who won't authorize warranty replacement; she actually told me to "buy the OTC equivalent tool." The unstated implication was that K-D/Gearwrench and OTC were both sourcing the tools from the same manufacturer, and then custom-branding.

Eventually, I got the local NAPA to replace the entire set--again, they wouldn't warranty the two tools that needed nothing more than new pressure screws.

My experience is that Gearwrench has no warranty. They have broken promises, but no warranty.
