I bought these on the same deal about a month ago. In my research of the usual online retailers this was by far the best deal if you are out for both the 3/8 and 1/4 drive metric sets.

Wish they did the same with the SAE sets.

Reviews for the site are pretty shaky... If I could get a code for more off of it or free shipping I would bite and take the chance, but I'm on the fence right now.

You can choose pick up in store. Last time I ordered Sunex tools from Advance Auto, most of my order arrived next day. Free shipping on orders over $75.

If you're referring to ntx, I was hesitant on a previous deal, but had a good experience when I ordered a bogo set of flare nut wrenches from them. I know it's only one experience, but based on how that went, I'll probably order other stuff from them in the future. Hope that helps.

My order on this BOGO deal a month ago the order was flawless. I was also a bit hesitant given some of the guys on here having some trouble with them in the past.

Yeah, definitely referring to ntx... I might just hold off until tomorrow and see if I see any cyber Monday coupon codes.

They have had this deal going on for a while I also got the sunex 3329 with the free mid set. I had no problems with my order and these were such good deals I was willing to take the risk even with the bad rewiews

Through the 3rd use code NTXBLACKFRIDAY to get 10% off certain items, including those sockets.

I've bought from them once before and it went well. Considering making another purchase on some of their BOGOs.

These are china now aren't they (i recently bought some gearwrench singles that are chinese)? I wouldn't spend no 30+ bucks on a chinese socket set with a mail in warranty.

I dont know about their sockets, but their ratcheting wrenches are chinese but work magnificently. No complaints on that end whatsoever.

I ordered these on the 1st and just got a notification that my sockets are already out for delivery. If everything arrives as it should, I will be impressed!

anybody find those mid-length useful or does it take up drawer space?

I do a little bit of everything on car from body, electrical, to mechanical (including engine rebuild).

Depends....

For some they are a replacement for using deep and shallow sockets (stronger than deep sockets because they are shallower, but longer than short sockets and able to fit over a fair amount of what they have to.

For others (me), a mid-length socket is the only thing that fits in some places. A the shortest 3/8 extension I have (1.5") and a short socket were too deep, same with the deep sockets. Now, I could have spent another 30 minutes pulling out the fans, draining the radiator, then removing the radiator, and then used whatever type of socket I wanted, but then it would be 30 more minutes to reinstall, and an hour to burp the cooling system. $40 on Mid-length sockets saved me two hours of the work the first time I had to do AC belts on my car. I have two others that will be getting new AC belts soon too. Worth it in my book.

I can't get an order to go through. The site can't seem to calculate the shipping charges, though I've got a plain vanilla address. Frustrating!

Sometimes it's a simple thing like a period (.) being in the wrong place or not coded to be recognized in that input field, change it around a bit (the only thing that really matter is the zip code being correct, and keep that to the 5 digit kind, not the 5555-555 kind). Play with it a little and see if you can get it to take the same info, but inputted differently. UPS's auto calculator used to do the same thing. Like using PO Box instead of P.O. Box, or your name being John K Doe instead of John K. Doe. Hope that helps.

Decided to take advantage of the 10% off and grab them, along with some GW flex head BOGOs. Can't beat their prices, and like I said earlier, last time I ordered from them I was happy. Hope it goes as well this time!

I almost bought some SK BOGOs as well, but just couldn't justify it...

I've had good luck with gearwrench. $30+ is a lot cheaper than the alternative. :dunno:

Not really.

Unless your alternative is something not made in china.

Lot's of china to choose from when it comes to sockets, but they shouldn't be anywhere near 30 bucks for a set don't care who makes them or what's stamped on them.

You can buy a set of chinese made allen brand sockets from cripe for like 4 bucks + shipping. Not that I have anything against china-tool, it's just I'm not paying above taiwan price for chinese tools. I've gotten decent taiwan sets for cheaper than that.

My order did come today. They emailed me right away telling me which warehouse they were coming from and then I received them next day. I was leery about ordering from them at first after I read some sketchy reviews, but it turned out really well. I will definitely be buying from them again.

I've never had a problem with the 10+ orders I've placed with them. Then again, nothing I ordered was out of stock (had 1 item that was no longer produced, but they refunded my money the next day and removed it from their website), which is where most complaints seems to come from. They also don't accept returns on damaged tools (I had a few tools that were damaged from the factory), but that is the same way tooltopia and many others work. They got me a direct line to SK and the items were quickly warrantied.

The SK midlength BOGO deal is worth it. $60 shipped for Metric and SAE 1/4 sockets. Made in USA.

Did the same for me too. Makes me a little nervous about sending them my credit card info without confirmation of shipping costs etc.

Got my sockets today, made in Taiwan. Flex ratcheting wrenches were China.

Everything showed up and the shipping was quick. This was my second order from NTX, and although they don't provide tracking, everything else has gone great!
