I have the 3/8" version and it is the one I grab the most. It is great ratchet. I got mine for free when Gearwrench was giving them away on Facebook. I may order the 1/4" and 1/2" due to how much I like them. Get one for sure. They are well worth the money.

From what reviews I've seen they've all been great. Some others prefer the 84t ratchets.I'd like to get a set of 120xp flexheads but would have to sell some other ratchets to make room in the drawer.lol.

I just got a set of the 120XPs through the Trident deal. Haven't had a whole lot of time to use them yet, but my first impression is very positive.

I picked up both the 3pc fixed and 4pc flex head 120XP ratchet sets during Trident's first sale. I too haven't used them much yet, but I'm impressed with them for the little time that I've used them so far. I especially like the long length of the flex head ratchets. My only complaint is that I wish they were quick release, as that is what I've always been used to. Also, both sets came in foam tool trays and were factory sealed, yet all ratchets were pretty well scuffed and nicked up. I'm guessing this was done during their manufacturing process. Not a big deal if you use your tools as I do.

i have the 60 tooth 3/8 with an 88 tooth matco kit in it and like it a lot. i also just received the 3 piece 120 tooth set. they seem to be a little nicer finished and i am sure they will be great also. they do seem to have a little more back drag than the 60 or 88 tooth designs from gearwrench or armstrong because of the twin stacked pawls but that may change after they get broke in.

Thanks for that feedback.
For me, having minimal drag is a very important feature that I look for in a ratchet. Having a ratchet with minimal back drag makes it a much more user friendly tool.

I have a Triangle Tools round-head ratchet that has a double pawl "144-tooth" geared mechanism. It's a decent ratchet, but the drawback is its back drag.

I bought them for my nephew last year as a graduation gift, he works at an international truck dealership and uses them daily, he absolutely loves them, he says they're his go to ratchet everyday and he's put the test to them and he has had no issues. I'm very happy to hear that being I bought them when they were fairly new on the market. You won't be disappointed

I just received my new 1/2" drive flex head ratchet yesterday from the Trident deal. The mechanism feels super smooth, better than any of my other ratchets, but I only have 72t kobalt, gearwrench roto ratchets and 36t cman to compare to.
The fit and finish seems better on the kobalt though. The chrome is a bit spotty and the flex joint is uneven, but still 100% functional.
These are just initial impressions... Will be able to put it to more use over the next month or so as my car will be getting new brakes and suspension.

The 120XP's have next to no drag... or at least mine are that way! One of them I can barely even feel when it's ratcheting it is so smooth, which is really weird as I pull back, think it hasn't caught and go forward, but it has caught.

Those ratchet seems to be the Ferrari of all ratchet with its magical 60teeth @3deg turn. Regular 72teeth is already enough to work in tight places

You can't go wrong with it. My snap on dual 80s feel more comfortable to use, but the gearwrench cannot be beaten for the price. If I had to do it all over again, I would have saved my money and bought more gearwrench ratchets.
